Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

- TTTony Trevino5 days ago3.09-8-2026 Don't usually go there but was in the area. I order the Chicken tenders meal which includes fries and a Drink (about $10 +). Went about 1:30 p.m. so the food was stale. The fries were stale and chicken tenders were flat. It had that breading that I recall from KFC chicken - not terrible, but nothing to cheer about. This is comparing to Chili's where the chicken tenders are hot.

Team members are friendly at any time of day and are refreshing, always smiling, and personal hygiene is much appreciated. 😀 Food takes a lil long as usual per Whataburger standard but always fresh and accurate which I value most. The restaurant is always clean, and the team is always seen being productive and working as a team. I will keep bringing my family here because we LOVE Whataburger and more so a clean and friendly atmosphere where I'm not worried about who or what touched my food, I'll drive past 417, and 1175 and come this way.
