  I was waiting in line to check out with my child when an associate came to tell me to come over to the next register as they were opening it to check out. I finished loading all my groceries onto the conveyor belt when she and another associate tell me I actually can't check out there as the conveyor belt is broken, but that they will check me out in the next lane. So I'm scrambling to put alll my stuff I just loaded onto the belt back into my cart by myself, just for her to go ahead and light her sign up that she's available and people are already making a line there... I felt awkward with having everyone pull their carts back out to get checked out, so I just went to a different line. HOWEVER, as I'm still waiting in line sticking out, she tells the person behind me she's opening up another register?! 🤦‍♀️ I could've easily gone to that one without having to worry about cutting in front of everyone else. Absolutely disorganized and a complete waste of my time. Just chilling in HEB for fun with my toddler, nbd 😒

  Store is clean, items are stocked, customer service is great! I would recommend to come in the weekdays since sometimes it gets pretty busy on the weekends. Also, if you are buying produce, never go in a Sunday night since don't keep your hopes up on finding all the fruits and vegetables you need. Other than that this is a great HEB

  I had an interaction at the register that left a negative impression. I was shopping a DoorDash order, and there were no baggers available to help the cashier. Another employee was standing there chatting instead of helping, so I grabbed two items and placed them in my cart myself to keep things moving. In response, the cashier said, “Wow, I believe in you!” I found the comment patronizing and unnecessary. My impression was that I was receiving less respect because I was shopping a DoorDash order. As someone who is quiet, I sometimes feel that people mistake my lack of small talk for a lack of knowledge or confidence when, in reality, I’m just working a lot and don’t have the energy for unnecessary conversation. What concerns me is that I’ve noticed a change in attitude from some employees once the word “DoorDash” is mentioned. Delivery drivers and shoppers are helping serve your customers and should be treated with the same courtesy and respect as everyone else. I would also encourage H-E-B to consider allowing DoorDash orders through self-checkout or finding a way to eliminate the need to announce that an order is for DoorDash. Unlike some other shopping platforms, DoorDash drivers are required to identify themselves at checkout because of the QR code process, which can lead to unnecessary interactions and, at times, a noticeable change in attitude from employees.

  Today 5/17 I was shopping with my kids, Politely asked Gene a produce associate if by chance they had any Tomatillos in the back he could check for me since floor was out, He rudely answered me without looking at me and replied with no if were out on floor were out I’m not going to back to look! I stood there like are you seriously talking to me like this and he completely ignored me as I stood there in shock so I asked him to have better customer service and talk to me politely he replied with a smart butt attitude and said sir we are out is that better I told him I was going to report him to management he replied go ahead… I’m a regular shopper at this location and every other produce worker there has great customer service and always willing to go to back to double check as heb customer service should be it’s sad one man with 8 years on his badge acts this way! I reported to top store leaders hopefully they access this situation and handle as need be!
