Always do online order and delivery. Its great. 3 stars because they always deliver meal simple products with rotted vegetables and brown leaves. ALWAYS! Oh and any Meal Simple item you order for delivery will ALWAYS be the oldest date. It is best to ONLY buy 1 or 2 Meal Simple items as they will only be good for 2 freaking days.
Edit: after reading the other reviews and experiences other people had. I have lowered rating to 1 star. It is an ongoing issue they have no intention of addressing. HEB is great but avoid this one like the plague. It should be on everyones blacklist.

When someone buys a product containing lettuce from the HEB-Burleson location and they end up getting REALLY sick, go to the hospital and are diagnosed with cyclospora?? BELIEVE THEM! When management belittles a customer instead of validating that an HEB product bought at the BURLESON location caused a person to become ill. Shame on HEB Burleson. I’ll shop elsewhere from now on!

Check your receipts! $300 in groceries had me justifying my purchases when I got home. Alas, I find a $14 item I didn’t buy. I came in and they gave me cash back, although over the phone I had to come back to that store AND it had to be put back on the card I used. I would have just left it but I was still irritated by the girl following me around the store like I was a thief. Seriously, who monitors the monitors??’

I’m leaving this review not out of frustration, but out of genuine concern for other customers.
On August 5, 2026, I purchased two sushi poke bowls from the sushi department. On Friday, August 7, I began experiencing severe gastrointestinal symptoms. By Saturday, August 8, I had experienced approximately 18 episodes of completely liquid diarrhea and had to go to the ER. I was subsequently diagnosed with Cyclospora (lettuce parasite).
What concerns me most is that, because I have been very cautious about what I eat, the sushi poke bowl was the only thing I ate that week containing leafy greens or fresh produce. I have specifically been avoiding these foods because of concerns about getting sick. I cannot say with certainty that the poke bowl caused my infection without testing, but the timing and circumstances are concerning enough that I felt it was important to notify H-E-B.
On Sunday, August 9, I called H-E-B to report what happened. The woman I spoke with was very understanding and offered me a gift card as compensation. However, when I went to the store on Monday to pick it up as instructed, I was told they would not provide it. I was also told that because I no longer had the physical product—which I had already consumed—they would not test it.
My concern is that if there were contamination in the product, there would be no opportunity to investigate it because the food had already been consumed. I understand that testing requires an actual sample, but I still believe a potential food-safety concern involving a product sold to customers should be taken seriously and investigated as thoroughly as possible. At least they could test the produce they’re still selling in store. Even if it wasn’t from that poke bowl, I buy all my groceries from H-E-B.
This experience has resulted in an expensive medical visit and potentially weeks of illness. I’m sharing this review not to accuse anyone of intentionally causing harm, but to make other customers aware of what happened and encourage everyone to be cautious with fresh produce and prepared foods.
Please take food-safety concerns seriously.

Great store to shop in person great customer service in the store.
However some items have gotten ridiculously over priced. Last weekend I tried to purchase a pineapple and was charged over 5$ for it so I put it back. I went across the street to Sprouts and got a delicious organic pineapple my family devoured for 3$.
I can no longer buy meat at HEB because it's overpriced and not worth what you pay, too much fat and grissle. Had to get a refund for some ground beef I purchased cause it had several chunks of grissle the size of a pencil erasers in it. It was so nasty and unedible I ended up wasting and entire batch of homemade hamburger helper.
I used to have groceries delivered every week but it go so expensive and we never get all of what we order. After calling and going to the store multiple times we just gave up having groceries delivered.
I get told items aren't in stock then I go to the store and there it is on the shelf !! The curbside has gone to hell too. Today was the last straw, several items were missing from our order. We couldn't add extra items even though we were still in the time line, for some reason the 4 items couldn't be charged to the card used for the initial order. I called the store and was told we wouldn't get notifications about the extra items being in stock but items were missing from our original order and no notifications were sent that they were out of stock. None of the 4 extra items we added were added to the order either. So it was like I was just told what they wanted me to hear and did whatever the hell they wanted.
Everytime we try curbside it's a hassle. Either we don't get what we order or we have to wait for almost an hour to get our groceries brought out because they over book themselves.
For the price of some of the items they sell , and fees they charge for pick up and delivery they should be doing better. Pretty frustrated and done ordering from curbside now.
We're just not getting what we're paying for which leaves me no choice but to start shopping elsewhere. Been shopping here since we moved here in 2020 and it's just gotten more expensive ,curbside and delivery has gotten worse and so much so some items I've started purchasing elsewhere for cheaper such as toiletries and cleaning supplies because it's just not worth it anymore.
Their fresh made deli foods and sushi are delicious but the salads don't come with utensils so you have to spend half your lunch break trying to flag down an employee to get utensils. Some of the salads don't even some with dressing. Some of the meals require extra ingredients like the brisket queso requires either beer or milk be added when you reheat it so that's not as convenient at it should be for the price. Alot of the deli foods are the same price as what you get in a resteraunt- not worth it.
I've had to call and complain multiple times about my pick up and delivery orders. today was the last straw! It shouldn't be that hard to shop, notify me when things aren't in stock and deliver the items I order. Aldi and Walmart don't screw up this much. Done with the excuses and overpriced food. Do better HEB!!
