We stopped by Frittella for dinner, and I went with the chicken parmesan. The chicken was nicely breaded, and the sauce had a really good flavor without being too heavy. We also tried the fried breadsticks, which were something different and ended up being my favorite part. The service was quick and friendly, and it was an easy place to enjoy dinner.

We were hungry and didn't really have a dinner plan, so we ended up at Frittella. I ordered the chicken Alfredo, and I really liked how creamy the sauce was without feeling too heavy. We were catching up while we ate and ended up laughing about something that happened earlier that day. It was nothing fancy, just a relaxed dinner where we could sit back and enjoy ourselves. I'd definitely come back.

We placed an order for pick up, and it was amazing. We ordered the BYO pizza, focaccia bread, and cheese cake. Will be going back for more.

After meeting them at the farmers market, we drove from Houston to College Station to have dinner with these fine folks. Absolutely delicious. Very friendly and attentive staff made our evening stellar. Everything on the menu is exceptional, flavorful and hearty. Well worth the 2 hour drive. Well worth it.

I wanted to like this place, I was so in the mood for good Italian food today, and the staff was pleasant and atmosphere cute. My boyfriend and I went for a late lunch today. Despite my hope that the quality of food would improve with each item that was delivered, each and every item was a disappointment. Starting from cocktails, the Fiore Gimlet left an acidic film in my mouth, possibly from the lime juice, whether it was too high of a ratio in the drink or the fact that it wasn’t fresh juice (the manager later would admit that they use bottled lime and lemon juices for cocktails, not fresh juices). My boyfriend’s mule had the same problem, an artificial taste. Next came the “focaccia.” Focaccia is supposed to be a pillowy texture in the middle with crusty crunch and predominant olive oil taste; what we received was no more than a reheated, plain, under-salted bread with maybe two dimples that had been sliced before being reheated, resulting in a dry tasteless loaf that was literally burnt on the edges. Next came our entree - the lasagna/canneloni combo. This was the most palatable part of the meal, though still with issues. The cheese (likely mozzarella) melted on top was incredibly salty. And the lasagna- ohhh the lasagna. It tasted exactly of canned Chef Boyardee. To be in a restaurant though that boasts fresh from scratch items, this was far from that. When we would discuss our meal with the manager later (we discussed all aspects of the meal after we alerted our waitress we were highly disappointed) she admitted that their sauce in the lasagna is from a can/jar, but that they also jazz it up by what sounds like sauteeing some onions and then adding the sauce to the onions. Apparently they also prepare these pasta items in the morning each day, so it’s not freshly made prior to it being eaten. I also encountered while eating the cannelloni what I thought was a small fragment of a bone in the ground beef - when I asked the manager, she said it was likely a piece of uncooked rice, as they use rice with their ground beef. I’m sorry - isn’t using rice while cooking ground beef a way to *stretch* the meat and thereby dilute the amount of meat a customer receives? A cheap business practice to put it kindly. The redeeming part of the meal was the manager offering, without prompting, for us not to pay for our meal. I highly respected this move, because initially I thought her approach was too defensive for her to allow a refund. She (and waitress) both tried to “make it right” by offering alternative menu items, dessert, etc…but honestly it was too late. I didn’t want to be further embarrassed by agreeing to eat food I knew was likely going to be sub-par, based on what I had already experienced in every aspect of our lunch today. At the end of the day - if you’re looking for authentic Italian food that is made with fresh ingredients and thoughtfully mixed cocktails, this is not the place. Sadly this restaurant did not live up to that expectation, and it’s unlikely we’ll return.
