Stopped at this Dairy Queen in Big Lake, TX and ordered a burger "plain," which where I'm from (Kansas City area) means just meat, cheese, and bun. It came out with mustard on it, which is a problem for me since I can't have mustard, it causes breathing issues. Turns out in Texas you apparently have to specify "dry" on top of "plain" for it to actually come out with nothing extra. I'd only ever run into that rule at Whataburger, so lesson learned for DQ too. The staff were great about it, they remade the burger right away, and it actually came out hotter and fresher than the original order. Good food, and even better, they made it right without any hassle. Just a heads up for fellow Texas newcomers: say "plain and dry" if you don't want condiments!
