the treatment my husband, my cousin, her husband, and I experienced at Saltgrass Steak House located at 12613 Galleria Circle, Bee Cave, TX 78738.
We were visiting the area and chose your restaurant during our anniversary trip, expecting a welcoming and enjoyable dining experience. Unfortunately, what occurred was one of the most uncomfortable and upsetting experiences I have ever had in a restaurant.
From the moment we arrived, we felt unwelcome and singled out. Throughout our visit, we noticed numerous patrons staring at us, creating an atmosphere that made us feel extremely uncomfortable. Rather than feeling like valued guests, we felt as though we were being watched and judged.
What was even more concerning was the behavior of the staff. Our waitress appeared visibly nervous and uncomfortable while serving our table, which only added to the feeling that we were not wanted there. Then, instead of approaching us to ensure we were having a pleasant dining experience, a manager came to our table and asked where we were staying and how far we had traveled. These questions felt inappropriate, unnecessary, and made us feel as though we were being scrutinized rather than welcomed as paying customers.
As African American guests celebrating a special occasion, the overall experience left us feeling racially profiled and unwelcome. We came to enjoy a meal and celebrate our anniversary, but instead left feeling embarrassed, hurt, and deeply disappointed.
No customer should ever feel uncomfortable because of their race or background. Every guest deserves to be treated with respect, dignity, and professionalism. I am requesting that this incident be thoroughly investigated and that appropriate action be taken to ensure future guests do not experience similar treatment.
I would appreciate a response regarding this matter and the steps your company intends to take to address these concerns.
Sincerely,
