I love HEB. Used to be my local until I moved away. Came back and just as good as I remember it. Love the wide selection.

I have been a longtime H-E-B customer, but my experience this morning was extremely disappointing. At 8:00 AM on a Saturday—the beginning of one of the busiest shopping days of the week—the store appeared completely unprepared for customers. Shelves were poorly stocked, numerous items were unavailable, and basic products that should have been readily available were missing. This did not feel like a store opening for business; it felt like a store still trying to recover from the previous day. What was even more concerning was the apparent lack of employees available to assist customers. The few team members present seemed overwhelmed, which points to a larger management and staffing issue rather than an employee issue. Proper scheduling and preparation should ensure customers are not walking into an understocked and understaffed store at opening time. The overall impression was one of poor management, inadequate oversight, and a lack of accountability. There appeared to be little urgency to address inventory gaps or customer needs. When a store is not ready for customers at opening on a Saturday morning, it raises serious questions about leadership, planning, and operational execution. H-E-B has built its reputation on customer service and store excellence. Unfortunately, this location fell far short of those standards today. I hope management takes a hard look at staffing levels, inventory preparation, and operational accountability because customers deserve a much better experience than what was delivered this morning.

Definitely won't be coming back here. The employees at self-checkout were very rude and snatched a bottle of wine right out of my hand and said "you can't buy this bottle of wine on a Sunday", when I asked the guy why he said "idk you just can't " and then he asked a manager to come and void it out..then the manager walks up and takes the bottle from the employee and also rudely says to me "ma'am you can't buy this bottle of wine on Sunday" .....i definitely didnt know that and I just walked out before another unsolicited employee walked up to me to tell me I couldn't buy wine on Sunday at this HEB in a rude manner. Will never be back. That was an awful experience.
