  Here's the thing that goes against the grade and the 3 rd time I have plans to get breakfast for my wife and I so I placed my order and only one biscuit and I purchased 2 breakfast! !!!! And extra grits for both sides of the breakfasts.

  I have been to the mountaintop… and from that height, I saw something beautiful… something powerful… something… buttery. I walked into The Toasted Yolk Cafe not just as a man looking for breakfast… but as a man seeking truth. And what I found… was a plate that spoke louder than words. looked upon those eggs… and they were not just eggs. They were perfectly cooked symbols of hope, resting gently beside bacon that sizzled with purpose. The pancakes… oh, the pancakes… they rose up tall and golden, like a dream deferred no longer. I said to myself, “Free at last… free at last… thank God Almighty, this coffee is hot and never-ending at last!” But let me tell you something… The people there—the servers, the cooks, the ones pouring that sweet, sweet coffee—they understood something deeper. They understood that breakfast is not just a meal… it is a morning movement. A movement where hash browns are crispy, not soggy. A movement where toast is buttered evenly, not unjustly neglected on one side. Yes, I had a dream… A dream that one day, all brunch spots would rise up and live out the true meaning of hospitality: “We hold these plates to be self-evident… that all yolks should be runny, and all biscuits should be fluffy.” And at Toasted Yolk… that dream… is already alive. Now don’t get it twisted—if you go on a Sunday, you might wait. You might stand there, looking around, wondering if the promise will be fulfilled. But let me tell you—the wait is part of the journey. Because when that food hits the table… justice is served… with a side of bacon.   If you come hungry, this is the place with 4 egg omelets, grits and biscuits. Great atmosphere and very friendly service. 5 stars in my book. Enjoy!

  I stopped in mid-morning and was impressed right away—the host had the door open when I arrived and even opened it again as I was leaving, which really stood out. I was seated immediately, and Harley was very attentive throughout my meal. I ordered the breakfast burrito, which comes with hash brown casserole or grits…I got the casserole, plus a side of biscuits and gravy (I like to compare gravies with my own). The biscuits and gravy were okay—though I’ll admit I’m a bit biased toward my own. The breakfast burrito was excellent and definitely the highlight. The hash brown casserole wasn’t my favorite, but it wasn’t bad. I’m a little picky about coffee, so it wasn’t quite for me since I already had some on the hour drive to Beaumont, but the orange juice was good. Overall, a great experience. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in Beaumont to try more of the menu.
