  Bie was awesome and provided quick service. Food was top notch and better than many of the local old school bbq places that have been in town as long as I’ve been alive. Truly surprisingly delicious.

  We stopped to pick up dinner on the way home. Ordered a couple orders of barbecued lamb and a couple of sides. We were asked if we wanted onions and pickles at slight extra charge. When we got home there were no onions or pickles. The lamb was good but the best part of what we ordered was the fried green beans. There are too many good barbecue places in Bastrop to go back there.

  Bie was very friendly and helped us place our order on the screen when the register froze. The food was great and were only out of sweet bbq at almost 8pm. Almost every item was still available late in the day which is quite impressive. Any other bbq place in Bastrop would be out of everything. Great job Bie and the True Texas BBQ team!

  First time in to eat at true Texas bbq, and it was delicious. Not only was the turkey flavorful and moist, but Bie (the gal that rung us up) was delightful. As we were finishing our meal she kindly checked on us to get some feedback on our opinion of the food. She was very pleasant, and professional. Very refreshing in comparison to today’s status quo.

  The BBQ is phenomenal! It is well and perfectly seasoned. I recommend the lean brisket and brisket burnt ends. The cornbread is amazing! I haven't tried the stuffed cornbread, but my husband says it is delicious. The strawberry lemonade and peach tea are perfect complements to any meal you choose. We buy a gallon of the strawberry lemonade every week. The Brisket Birria Ramen was our favorite. We used to eat it once a week. Unfortunately, the Brisket Birria Ramen was a limited-time menu item. I hope they bring it back as a permanent menu item.
