- RWRonna Wesney5 days ago5.0I had kittens that needed kittens bottles to feed them. It was a life or death situation. Well Mucio came to help me. He checked to see if they were in stock. They weren't. But then he looked on the top shelf, for which I couldn't see, and found me kittens bottles. He is a God send. Pleasant and wonderful and such a great help. Thank you so Much. This location has steadily stopped carrying non-HEB-branded products that don’t have an HEB-branded equivalent. Like fragrance-free laundry pods. And protein bars. What’s keeping me coming back here if I can get everything from Walmart? Pros: Recently remodeled. Clean. Nice employees. Great garden center.

- LOLynda O'BrienJul 26, 20265.0When I first moved to Bastrop 9 years ago, I thought this was one of the best HEB's I had ever visited. Then about 2 or 3 years ago, they undertook a major renovation which was a major pain in the neck. Everything was very disorganized for a very long time and it was difgicult to find anythingAnd they stopped stocking a lot of items I buy regularly. However, once the renovation was completely finished a few months ago, it was worth it, I think. They are expanding their inventory offering with a lot of things I love. Their bakery section is bigger and better and not too long ago I found a wonderful Boston Cream pie which was really great but haven't seen it since. Pity. But they now have chocolate croissants among other other handheld treats which I also enjoy. The barbecue restaurant is pricey and the quality is not as good as other local BBQ restaurants. My one complaint is that things like Mootopia milk (pricey but I love it), sodas, some of their other products are on shelves so high I have to get help to get them. I am 5'7" and am pretty agile although I am in my 70's but this happens almost every time I go. Overall, HEB is a great place to shop and I am glad they are back. Customer service is great! And I noticed on the last month, prices are starting to decline in some things at close to former prices.
