First, I have to say the food was really good for what is generally considered fast food. This was a pleasant surprise after a horrible experience with the Bandera Burger King. I’ve gone through some of the one and two star comments for this Dairy Queen and they’re pretty petty considering what it is, with the exception of a couple. Long wait times for food that’s actually edible isn’t worthy of one star. If you don’t like waiting in your car where it’s nice and comfortable go inside, wait times are normally much faster inside where they have to look at you. I will say the lady who checked me out, wasn’t very outgoing or super friendly, but we got through it and I wasn’t displeased with the service just… Underwhelmed. That doesn’t change the fact that the food was fantastic compared to most fast food restaurants in a small town like this. Good job guys just maybe work on the people skills and talking so that you can be heard and actually holding a conversation with somebody who’s asking you a question. That’s all thanks for a good Experience.

I keep wanting to give the DQ in Bandera a chance but today took the cake on bad experiences. 35 minutes for a chicken strip basket and a burger is INSANE! I am not sure if I’ll come back again. Burger King takes 5 minutes to get your order done and in your hands. And to top it off, we got soggy fries.

I live far out of town and stopped here for a quick bite to eat on a road trip. We ignored the dingy looking exterior because we were hungry. We ordered a burger with only bun, cheese, and patty. Waited in the drive thru line for roughly 30 minutes for a drink, fries, burger, and medium blizzard. After all that time, the blizzard was half unblended and the burger had all veggies, yet no cheese on it. I immediately left an online complaint through the survey on the receipt. I just planned to call for a refund as soon as I wrapped up my weekend night shifts, if they didn’t reach out to me first. However, when I called under 72 hours after the initial transaction and spoke to their manager, he rudely said he “cannot and will not refund” the money as I haven’t brought the food back to the store and didn’t call within 48 hours. I apologized and tried to explain that I didn’t know about a time limit, I live far away, and the 48 hour limit had just been passed. I understood that I had messed up by not knowing the company time limit and stuff, so I hung up after he was very rude the entire talk. I then remembered I made the online complaint the day of and hoped maybe he would be kinder if he knew I tried before. I called again, but he was even ruder the second time. The interaction was horrible, and I still won’t be getting my refund from them. TL;DR The fries we could eat were mediocre, tasted slightly greasy unless doused in ketchup, blizzard was half blended, every topping we didn’t want want on burger was there, yet no cheese in sight… very rude manager/customer service. Never again.

Customer Service was absolutely terrible. First of all attempted to hand us blizzards not only without a lid by the ice cream was practically spilling out of the cup. Had to ask for a lid to keep it contained. We did not order a second one and when my husband mentioned it we received a nasty attitude. Checked the receipt and sure enough we were correct.
