Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
At 4:40-4:50 am give or take as I always go at.
I been to other Whataburger as a consumer myself. So I know which to go to for better service, quality and efficient. BUT... because this Whataburger is closer to my work ( no other Whataburger within my work radius ) which I been there five times. Five times in the morning between 4:55-5:20....I literally walk like it's a ghost town. No one's comes out to greet or acknowledge my presence. Night management..all the time, never say anything. Three people working. Night manager doing cooking, one guy at drive thru and other guy...maybe prepping things or putty thing together before his end shift. Seeing bags of food ready for drive thru customers as I wait...going ten minutes when someone could have at least took my order whole ten minutes I waited. 14 minutes..drive thru guy just walk over....take my order. My order as only person in lobby could been accomplished in five to eight minutes times which is the norm. After taking my order......they continuously took drive thru order when it's only three cars.....then it build up to 4--6 cars. So they basically focus more on thru thru than trying do my order. Third time ..my good was cold as it sat on counter over five minutes while I watch. The last two times, I walked out pissed knowing I start work in thirty minutes that I walked out losing $13 and $11. That's is the laziest Whataburger...no..no...the most inattentive management and service. The management sucks, less people, food served cold, they don't acknowledge customers present in the lobby. Only the drive drive. Waiting time nearly 30 minutes. Never go to that Whataburger ever again. Now I have to go to some about ten to fifteen miles away which I rather not drive my meals to work cold that far.
So pathetic with poor management, poor General Manager and regional or district manager for their lack to improvise the workplace

Staff is always friendly, wait times when I go to this location are typically 7-15 minutes. Occasionally longer 20+ minute wait time.
more often than not either all or some of the food is not fresh. Regardless if I order a breakfast combo, or a lunch combo.

This location shut down for a little while. I don’t know if they were updating or what, but it has certainly turned a corner. I went there a year ago and ordered a hamburger and they forgot to put the meat patty in hamburger! I went there today and the food was great, the service was excellent, and the whole place was very organized and clean. I was really happy to see this. All the workers were very nice and polite and seemed to really care about the customers.

It's steadily gotten worse over the years, and the remodel isn't going to help.
I went in there on Friday (4/24) to get my usual order. The doof at the front is clueless.
I try to order but he's lost, then gives me the wrong total. I tell him that can't be right, he fumbles around for a couple more minutes--by now its been 5 minutes since I walked in and there was no line.
I gave up and told him I'm too hungry to be stuck ordering and it shouldn't take this long--I'm going somewhere else.
I drove west to the WB at Parmer and Whitestone. Walked in, the capable gentleman took my order quickly, and i was sitting down in three minutes. My food arrived 2 minutes later.
Then, I tried going back to this store for breakfast as the morning crew tends to be more reliable. But the employees are hit or miss, so I ordered my food via the website and started driving.
Got there and told the initial person the name. They walk to the kitchen and say I'm there. Another person comes out and asks me how did I place the order--I reiterated it was via the website.
They asked me to show them the confirmation, which I did, and it showed the correct address. They still fumbled around lost. Then the initial person gets a manager to come out and harass me about the order, which again, I tell him that I placed the order on the website, this is the correct restaurant, etc. and he is clueless. I tell him I've done this a million times before with no problem.
Eventually they see it but say there is no name on it, and bring it to me, sans drink. I say loudly "now where is my drink?" and eventually it's placed on the counter.
Awful, just awful. I think losing Jeffrey, (the former manager) for whatever reason he is not there, has really hurt the level of service.
And something about this location and intersection attracts some really strange people and workers.
