Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

ETA: 05.07.26 - The Store Manager Tiffany contacted me this morning, to advise she watched the security cameras of this altercation and sincerely apologized for this situation. She advised me on the steps she was going to take to handle/ensure that this would not occur in the future to another customer. I am extremely satisfied with her conflict resolution. And have confidence that she is going to deal with this effectively. I'm changing my 1 star review to a 3 star review for this reason. Hopefully 5 star to come soon.
05.05.26 Extremely volatile experience!! I am shaken, very upset, and completely shocked. A female Drive thru order taker was rushing my husband while he was trying to give his order. He was trying to modify his burger and she was ignoring him. So we had to speak up and ask if she could please stop rushing him and modify the burger. Down hill from there. We placed our order and as we were pulling up to the window the cashier was leaning out the window staring at us rudely. She continued to do so as the order taker was still asking us questions to get our order right. She then (window employee), asked us to pull forward to wait which we did. She then came to bring another order to the car in front of us and as she was walking back in she was glaring rudely at me. I asked if she was staring at me? (Up until then we hadn't had any interaction with her that i knew of unless she was the original order taker) she very loudly said I HAVE EYES RIGHT?! So I came inside to make a complaint. Daisy manager on duty was very flippant, and denied that this took place. I explained if it hadn't and we weren't being treated in such a way I wouldn't be inside to speak to the manager about it. She then told the girl she could go clock out in the middle of me speaking to her (daisy) and then walked away to help the girl. At this point Michael (employee, team leader?) Came to apologize and try to calm things down. Then the cook started making comments that my food was getting cold implying for me to leave. I asked daisy what kind of a shift is she running for her employees to be so hostile and blatantly rude, even she herself walking off and being dismissive to me the customer. All we tried to do at the speaker was ensure our order was taken correctly. There was no need for all this hostility and attitude. She continued to ignore me. Michael apologized profusely and handed the bag of food. As I was walking out I noticed mustard all over my hands and clothes. I came back inside and he saw and said "that's just wrong! im so sorry" and handed me a lot of napkins. Then as I walked outside again, the mom of the girl who was staring walked up on me aggressively, and got in my face and wanted to know if I was yelling at her daughter. I told her I was not yelling at her daughter but I was complaining to the manager about her daughter who was very rude. She became aggressive so I stepped back into the store to get help. I started yelling back also because at that point I felt very unsafe and threatened. I called 911 and showed the mother I was doing so. Michael said I can't be yelling in their store (he didn't say that to the mom or her daughter though?) and I said im being attacked by the girl and her mom! all I wanted was help!! The mom and girl left and he said look they are driving off it's safe now. I got you and you're ok. I hung up with 911 and now I'm lodging this public complaint because for sure the manager on duty daisy did not help. She escalated and added to the situation. My husband didn't even want to eat the food after because he was worried with the way they were acting they did something to the food. On the way home I went to drink my sweet tea and the lid was not on fully so it poured all over me. I've been coming to this location since 1998. This whole situation is completely atrocious. What's going on at this location? Where are the employees that we are used to seeing? They were all so polite, friendly and nice. Did they all quit? Because tonight's shift was appalling.

Is there a way I can rate only the weekend crew? This place is pretty good during the work week. Ordered ahead and got here at my expected time. Three cars ahead of me so I'm expecting a wait. They get served up and I get my drinks and get asked to park in the VIP spot. Ive seen 2 other cars come and go behind me. This is ridiculous.

The service is slow and the staff rude. The other day we ordered at the drive thru and the guy just handed us the food without uttering a word despite us thanking him and telling him to have a nice day. This place cares nothing about customer service which speaks to their corporate culture. The food has steadily declined too.
