Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Every single time I have ordered delivery they have my order wrong (4 times in a row) I finally sucked it up and called the manager and they said “well I wasn’t there so I don’t know what to do for you” Didn’t even offer me an apology…… I guess this is what you get when a company sells out to a Chicago based investment firm LMAO

Wait time is an hour or 4 days . And they messed up everything in my order. I really hate them. Hate is a strong word. That’s why I used it.

I arrived, went into the lobby. Informed the cashier, Angela, that I'm there to pick up an order (Doordash) and order myself a milkshake.
Angela is quick to make my milkshake and for the first 20 minutes of me waiting for the food she also is asking about my DD order.
I get impatient and ask what's taking so long when Lily, an employee dressed like a manager, steps up and says that my order was taken by somebody else.
My problem with this is that: Angela has been asking about the DD order for 20 minutes and it didn't occur to anyone that someone that should not have taken the order took it. And that they still need to make the food... Accidentally handing out food to somebody else isn't my fault, nor is it the person who ordered.
I continue to wait another 12 minutes, plenty of time for them to remake the order fresh.
They don't even have a bag ready for it.
I say something, and Lily states that they are not going to remake the food. She didn't communicate this with me. I've been waiting 32 minutes at this point and you could have at least told me 20 minutes in when we discovered the food was taken by someone else.
Lily claims she thought I was going to leave after the 20 minutes... Then why you looking at me 3 minutes before I say something about the food should have been made fresh at this point.
Then I ask for Lily's name. She refuses to give it to me, wanting to know why. I say I'm going to go complain to someone above you. She offers her manager in the back, Dennis.
While waiting for Dennis, I ask Angela what Lily's name is and she responds with "Olivia." -- I knew it started with an L I just didn't know what it was so I knew it wasn't the truth. No idea why we hiding the name badge when I held the door for Lily when I first walked in... But hey.
Anyway, I get Dennis on the phone with the Doordash customer. They settle up.
I explain to Dennis what happened, why I'm frustrated. He seems to understand but is also trying to do the corporate thing of "we made the food and someone else took it" but ain't no one want to say that for the first 20 minutes when Angela is calling for it?
40 minutes of my time wasted.
Over 20 guest that overheard me try to make a point that handing out the food to the wrong person shouldn't be punishing me and the customer so harshly, especially to the point of refusing to make the food.
Not the worst customer service interactions I've ever had... But is definitely in the "top" 5.
Angela, you tried. It just wasn't great.
Lily, I hope you're given more training because you failed so many times over.
Dennis, thanks for talking with the customer about what happen and apologizing to them directly.
I don't need to be blamed for the mistakes of your staff or Doordash hiring crappy people (if that is what actually happened - but you can have the same policies with Doordash dashers as Chick-fil-A does)
