Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

The management and crew needs to be trained or replaced. The staff members consistently wear the same gloves, which raises concerns about hygiene and cross-contamination. For instance, Rosa Linda was seen using her phone while wearing gloves, preparing food, and taking orders. When I requested a grilled chicken sandwich, I was served a fried chicken sandwich instead. Rosa Linda then placed the fried chicken patty on the same bun that I had just opened, rather than discarding it and making a fresh one. This incident demonstrates a lack of attention to detail and a disregard for customer safety. Cross-contamination poses a significant health risk and can lead to severe consequences for both the staff and the customers. To address these concerns, the management should implement stricter hygiene protocols. This includes regular handwashing, proper glove usage, and the establishment of a system for returning over-the-counter items to the back of the restaurant.
