Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Out of all of my years of going to any whataburger, this visit was by far the absolute best. Joseph made this the best whataburger I have ever been to. He was so incredibly friendly and helpful and patient and literally everything you could ask for when being a customer. I would drive an extra 100 miles if it meant that Joseph was going to be there!

The burgers are great but the fries are so small you can only get 3or 4 tiny fries at a time and they're so small you can't hardly dip them in the ketchup to get enough and it's not enough fries for a bite with not enough catsup. I almost said something to staff about it. Made me think of McDonald's fries how they are always long and you can always get a big bite with plenty of catsup. Every time. I remember seeing a thing about how McDonald's is so particular about the potatoes that are used to make their fries and now I see why. I left like 25% of them on my tray and trashed them cause it's not worth the hassle to eat them. I thought this is the last time I'm eating at Whataburger. I might again but no fries.
