  True Texas BBQ @ Lake Austin is awesome. Park right out front, head straight up the outside stairs, grab a drink at the bar, and watch the game on the screens. They have sauce dispensers inside so you can grab what you need, and the staff brings the food straight to your table. Getting a quarter pound of Texas smoked burnt ends with white bread, pickles, and onions for $6.75 is as good as it gets. Tender, smoky, real Texas barbecue without any of the markup or fuss. You won’t find a better deal!

  This is part of HEB with free covered parking. It’s very clean spacious. The bbq sausage and ribs are so good. We enjoyed our meal very much. We hope the HEB in Houston could have this kind of bbq restaurant as well.

  I wanted to take the time to provide my review of your new catering pilot program. I unfortunately had a funeral for a niece of mine and I volunteered HEB to handle catering in all efforts to keep her mom and her husband, not have to worry about food for attendees. I was lucky enough to find Lisa. From the very beginning. She was there. Even on her vacation, she kept in contact with me and made the whole experience so seamless and worry free. She took on that burden, with her knowledge and experience to make sure we had everything we needed. While I was in the services. She gave me updates of when she was on her way and when even when she was on site. We all walked down to the big hall and as promised. Everything was there, setup and ready on time! We could smell the food down the hall and when we entered. Everything was set up and ready to go! People were saying wow! And I even heard someone say “H-E-B makes Bar-B-Que?” And another say “I didn’t even know H-E-B catered!” Everyone really enjoyed the brisket and the mac & cheese as well as the sweet tea! I really feel you secured some new customers from this experience! For sure more catering orders in the future! Getting back to Lisa. I cannot say enough how lucky I was to have her work with me. All my future catering needs, she will be my first call. Kudos to Lisa and the new HEB pilot program!
