  Apparently we don't know the difference between pulled and chopped when it comes to pulled pork sandwiches. Your "pulled pork" is actually chopped to the point of chop it any more and it will be mince meat... And why the hell don't they have fried okra as a side... TBH, I once upon a time lived somewhere with a KFC right across the street from my apartment. But I want fried okra with my fried chicken. So I would drive 28 miles to the nearest Church's Chicken so that I can get fried okra with fried chicken.... So you get one star for service and another star for being open. But this is another situation of drive further because even Dickeys BBQ is better. And as a native born Texan, please quit calling yourself "Texas style" because this ain't it when it come to BBQ!

  Lunch time left overs. Sliced brisket sandwiches were old dried up meat - hard to believe from this store - will avoid lunch here in the future

  I have lived in Austin for over 30 years and Rudy’s has always been our go to BBQ place, especially when folks visit from out of state. We grab Rudy’s on the way home every 2 or 3 weeks and the most recent visit, yesterday, has broken me. We know that there are occasional visits where we say it wasn’t the best but it was still good, it happens with every restaurant. But over the last several months the quality of the meat has gone down, and we are noticing this every time, yet we keep going back thinking it was just that visit. However, yesterday was so awful that we are in search of a new place! The moist brisket had so much fat that you left 1/4 - 1/3 of the piece on your plate. Now, I don’t mind fat but this was undercooked and not edible. And, the turkey…it had thick veins of fat running through it which I have never ever had before. Our son will only eat Rudy’s turkey and he refused to eat it as the quality was so lacking. While I wish I could say this was just a bad day at the 620 location of Rudy’s, I think the repeated failures over the last 4 plus months indicate otherwise. Best of luck. We loved you for years and we will miss you!

  I love me some Rudy's BBQ. This place is a go-to when I'm passing by. Shout out to the manager, Justin. He keeps everything running smoothly and is very hospitable!! This is a super easy in and out. Get yourself gas and a car wash while you're at it.

  I went in for breakfast tacos, and they said that you could actually buy brisket in the morning sometimes if it's ready! Felt so great to get fresh brisket at like 9:30am. I never woulda thought.
