  Website says open at 5 PM. It’s 5:40 PM and they’re still closed. No notice, no explanation. Very unprofessional and a waste of customers time.

  We had an amazing experience at Maie Day. Even though the restaurant was completely booked, Khanh-Vy, Brie, and Bradley went out of their way to get a table set up for us and made us feel incredibly welcome from the moment we walked in. Brie and Bradley continued checking on us throughout the meal, and despite how busy the restaurant was, they made us feel like we were the only customers there. That level of hospitality is rare. The food was outstanding. We had the Prime Rib and couldn’t believe it was part of happy hour for only $19. The Caesar salad was also fantastic and easily big enough for two people for just $5. The quality, service, and overall experience completely exceeded our expectations. We live in Palm Beach, and when we come back to Austin, we’ll absolutely be returning to Maie Day. Highly recommend.

  Nicer steakhouse type of restaurant in the South Congress Hotel. They have a private dining room for parties and we hold company events there. Works well as hotel for employees and events in their bars and restaurants.

  If you plan to have a special night for your birthday I would suggest you look elsewhere. Not only did I not feel even kind of special besides a sloppy written note on the table, but the food was average. My boyfriend got a $70 NY Strip Steak and they couldn't be bothered to grill an onion on the side for him. My risotto was incredibly bland as well. You're better off going to a Longhorn Steakhouse, at least they can grill an onion for you! Not surprising they're closing in a few months.
