HEB will always be my favorite grocery. They have delivery and curbside. They have items you cannot find anywhere else. They have amazing employees. The bakery makes their own tortillas and the butter tortillas are so addictive. And the best ???? The tamales that are in the hot case with the roasted chickens.... They taste homemade. Yummy. HEB is the best.

Impossible to get a good avocado 🥑 there. Don’t matters if you get it green or not, they will always go bad, just when you cut them they turn black at once

The white dude with glasses that helps out the cashiers when they need help is extremely disrespectful, has an attitude, and is absolutely disconnected from the concept of being friendly with customers. No clue how he even got to be a manager or whatever he is. Will definitely not come back to this heb.

Usually HEB is always great. But the way I was treated tonight is quite frustrating and just plain bizarre. 6 calls (4 unanswered in curbside- I get it, they're busy), spoke to 1 very "confused" employee (Jacob, maybe? But I could be wrong), and a very unhelpful, unwilling "manager", David-- and STILL no refund on the $2.81 rotted mint from my curbside order. (Side note-- this mint comes in a completely clear cup, so how did a black, rotted cup of mint even make it into my order in the first place?? Pics added.) How did curbside employee recite other items off my order but say he can't find my order? Why did he give me the last 3 digits of my order # but said he can't find my order? Why did he ask me my address? What does where I live have to do with this?? Why did I have to spell out "mint" for him? Why did he ask me if I'd picked up my order if I was calling for a refund on a rotted item from said order? That's when I knew it was doomed Twelve minutes this went on. Just nonsensical. After all that, the employee thought it best that I call tomorrow to have "someone else" handle it. Just wow. There are no words. Called back to main part of store, figured a manager could easily refund me! David, claiming to be a manager, maybe he is, idk, also can't (or won't) do refund despite my having order #, name, time of pickup and item/item #. Said to just come in to do it. I don't normally shop inside for reasons of my own, so why would I drive back there for a $3 refund they can do over the phone?? Because, sadly, this is the 3rd or 4th time I've had to call to get money back for rotted herbs/vegs (basil & cilantro previously). Fully capable-seeming employees have handled it very quickly in 1 simple phone call to curbside all other times. So, 6 calls later and half an hour wasted-- and still no refund. Really sad to see them go downhill like this. I used to love this store but getting jerked around like that isn't cool at all.
