Our school was informed—through admin, teacher organizations, and social media—that teachers would receive a free item. However, when I went during lunch, they refused to honor it and said I needed to download their app and order ahead—something that was never clearly communicated. We only receive a quick 20 minute break and mine was wasted in the Chick Fil A line where they refused to honor their offer to us. I’ve been a regular customer and have supported this location by encouraging students to work there. This experience felt misleading and disappointing. If you’re going to promote appreciation for teachers, follow through. This is one of several issues our campus has had with this location and their failure to deliver on promises to our teachers.

As someone with professional experience and subject matter expertise in human resources, I found the response concerning and perceived a lack of transparency in how customer feedback was being handled. Additionally, I have observed a high rate of employee turnover at this location, which may reflect leadership and management practices that shape workplace culture and employee retention. Based on this experience, I may share my concerns within my professional and personal network when appropriate.
