The food was fantastic! I highly recommend the Lamb Shank and the Truffle Elegance with grilled chicken. Service was amazing and our server was very attentive. Of course you have to try their dessert too. The Bellissima Cream Cake is phenomenal!

The food was delicious! We ordered the bruschetta and fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp, and both were really good. The complimentary bread was also warm and tasty. The only downside was that the serving portions were on the smaller side, so keep that in mind when ordering. Overall, a great dining experience and we enjoyed the food! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The food here is great! I've tried the limited time lobster spaghetti, the chicken parm, mushroom risotto, tiramisu, and the mozzarella sticks, and they were all delicious. However, there are several pieces of low resolution, AI "artwork" on the walls, so that knocks them down two stars for me.

Finding truly good Italian food in Austin is surprisingly hard. Don’t waste your time (or money) on those expensive downtown spots with mediocre pasta and forgettable service. Come to this gem instead. The fresh, homemade pastas are outstanding with the perfect texture, rich sauces, real flavor. Everything tastes authentic and made with care. Cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, solid prices. This is the real deal. Highly recommend.

This was our first visit to Bellissima. For context, we just came back from two weeks in Italy (Rome, Tuscany, Siena) so we are likely biased. But Bellissima does claim to be the best Italian restaurant in Austin. We had a reservation for four and were seated immediately on arriving. Corner booth up front so we had a good view of the dining area. Our server, Sean, promptly took our drink order and brought water for the table. As soon as our party was complete, we ordered the calamari for the table as a starter. It was good - tender, not overcooked. The coating was on it was excellent - very light. The calamari was accompanied by sun-dried tomato ranch and marinara sauces. I didn't try either but others seems to like them. Bread was brought out to the table with the rings. It had a good flavor and enough body to clean up my plate later on. Unfortunately the server cleared away the calamari plate as soon as the entrees arrived. Well, I guess we didn't need the remaining rings anyway. :\ I ordered the Cacio e Pepe with spaghetti. The serving was a decent portion but it looked lonely as presented since it only took up 1/3 of the plate. Some sauted zucchini or other side, even if only for color, would have been nice. The sauce was great - and I'm comparing this to the pasta dishes I just had in Italy. The pasta for cacio e pepe in Italy was usually "pici" which is a rougher, thicker version that holds the sauce and provides more "bite". Assuming the pasta is made in house switching to a bronze die and beefing up the pasta would help it standout. But maybe that's just me. Cacio e Pepe gets an A. My spouse ordered the Salmon Grigliato which came with mixed vegetables and mashed potatoes. The server recommended medium well which was perfect - moist, tender. The capers and lemon butter sauce was nice and light. The sauted side vegetables included broc, red peppers, zucchini, and mushrooms, with some raw, diced garlic added as an after thought. It added a rather nasty bite to the veggies. Everyone at the table tried them out of disbelief. The mashed potatoes had a great flavor, but there were a few semi-crunchy, half inch potato chunks hiding in the mash. They must have escaped the food processor. So the salmon gets an A, the side veggies and mash get a D. We ordered the tiramisu for dessert which is our default benchmark. It was a good, stock tiramisu. I'd love to find a version where the lady fingers aren't mush and there's still a little snap to them. Interestingly, the restaurant doesn't offer espresso drinks so you're on your own there. So, overall, the food was good, but at $20-30 an entree... it could be better. The atmosphere was good. The place is "cozy" but not claustrophobic; busy but not so loud that you can't have a conversation. The service was good and attentive. However, we felt rushed. There were several empty tables and it wasn't near closing time. At one point, someone in our party asked the server if it was ok to stay at the table and visit. Awkward to have to ask that, but he did seem more chill from then on. One visit, one viewpoint. We will give Bellissima another go, perhaps during the week and see how consistent the food, service, and vibe are.
