  Anthem on Rainey was great! I can’t believe it has taken me so long to try it. We went during happy hour which is the way to go to save on the shareables and cocktails. Ged was an excellent server and was also running the bar too. Everything we had was delicious. I’d recommend the queso and popcorn chicken w/ honey sriracha oh and the brisket rangoons you have to get too. It’s hard to choose what I’ll get next time but the sesame seared salmon sounds good. Save room for dessert because the Hong Kong waffle is where it’s at.

  Came into Anthem and waited at my table for a while with no one checking in, so I ended up moving to the bar and Katie took care of me from there. She completely turned the experience around just by being herself. I’ve been here before and she’s taken care of me before too, so I already knew I was in good hands. She’s personable, attentive, and does everything with purpose. You can tell she genuinely cares about the guest experience. Also, she makes the BEST tajin rims. Thank you for switching it all around, Katie!

  The food was very good and the atmosphere was really nice. The place has a cool vibe, and overall the experience could have been great. The problem was the service. Our server was polite enough, but the service felt below average. She did not really communicate in full sentences and did not make the experience feel very welcoming. I understand that not every server has to provide exceptional service, and that is fine. However, the uncomfortable part happened when I asked another staff member to let me pay by card. I left a tip based on the level of service we received. After seeing the tip amount, he did not say thank you, did not say goodbye, and did not say anything at all. That felt unprofessional and awkward. Tips should reflect the quality of service. When the food and atmosphere are good, but the service is average or below average, staff should not expect a high tip automatically. If the service had been more professional and attentive, I would have been happy to leave a higher tip. Good restaurant, good food, nice atmosphere, but the service attitude needs improvement.

  My girlfriend and I had an amazing meal here. The brisket sandwich was transcendent.. The miso mac n cheese had a excellent balance of flavors and was beautifully served. But Tofu?? Seriously? I despise tofu until now.. well I wouldn’t call myself a convert but if I ever have it again it will be here. It was served with a cucumber peanut sauce salad and they cooked the doubt right out of it.
