  Literally the slowest Whataburger in the US! It’s called fast food not wait 20 mins everytime you come to the drive thru

  Just went through the drive thru. Over 25 minute wait sitting at the white line. Walked inside, ask manager for my food. Waited another 5 minutes to throw it in the bag. She brought it out without our drinks. Got some drinks. Get home and wrong drinks and wrong fries. Horrible meal altogether. Soggy bun. Wasn’t even that busy at the time. Get it together whataburger!!! Won’t be going back for a long while.

  I visited the Whataburger at 287 and Sublett today to grab lunch for my 3-year-old grandson. The employee at the drive-through window (who appeared to be a manager, based on her shirt with pens in the sleeve) was friendly, but I noticed her gloves looked visibly dirty, oily and with food residue on them ,when she handed back my card. She then went to prepare my order, and when she returned with the food, the same gloves still looked worn and greasy, like they’d been used for a while without changing. I wasn’t able to tell whether she was using those same gloves to handle cash/cards and food, but it looked more like the gloves were there to protect her hands than to keep the food hygienic. It grossed me out enough that I had to throw the food away, which meant my grandson didn’t get to eat what I bought him, and we had to go somewhere else for lunch instead. I really wanted to enjoy this visit since the location has a good reputation, and the staff member was pleasant, but this was a disappointing experience, and I’d love to see better glove-changing practices between handling money and food.

  I visit this place frequently simply because it’s conveniently located near my house. However, this is the only reason I still consider it. Even when there are only two or three people in line, the wait time is comparable to when the place is full with at least eight to ten cars. The customer service is terrible and their attitude is even worse. Everyone seems to be dragging their feet.

  I came through the drive thru last night and had my order taken by a young man named Ayden. He was very polite and got my food out to me quickly and fresh and made sure my order was right. Saw him taking orders at the front counter while still getting my food out quick. Outstanding store and service!!
