- SMSally McCrackenSep 13, 20261.0BUYER BEWARE! Five months ago, my sister had a hip injury that was not diagnosed properly until recently resulting in hip replacement surgery late last week. Since the hip injury she has consistently ordered food delivery from the Tom Thumb on North Collins in Arlington, TX and until recently been generally pleased with the service. She came home from the hospital on Friday 9/11/26 and on Saturday ordered food delivery from Tom Thumb which was delivered about 7:00 Saturday. Since she is incapacitated, her husband unpacked the groceries but the next morning about 11:00 a.m., my sister realized she had not received all the items amounting to about $30. When she realized the mistake, she called the store and talked to one person and then another but was told that the time frame for reporting the problem had passed, it was probably the driver's mistake and there was nothing Tom Thumb could do to help. My sister's told the Tom Thumb Rep. about her surgery and why she had not been able to review the grocery order sooner but that made no difference. Her online record shows she has purchased $2,181.98 from Tom Thumb since June 16, 2026 but the purchase made from Tom Thumb will be her last. Buyers Beware.

I talked to the store twice about having a salad dressing on the shelves that was expired for 2 years. They took all the dressing down. The next week I came back and the shelves were stocked with bottles that had been expired for 3 years. 🤦🏻♀️

Remember 10 or so years ago, they would have every single line open. Now their greediness has ruined the customer experience. BOOOOO. Give me HEB NOW.

It is shocking that a store of this size and a part of such a huge corporation can't get their air conditioner fixed. To shop in this store it requires you to bring your own personal fan. If you place frozen items in your cart for purchase, they are thawed by the time you get to the check out. How can you guarantee freshness when it's so incredibly hot in the store?! When I inquired about it, I was told the company only has ONE air conditioner repair person to cover ALL the Tom Thumb stores. What?!?!? Come on Tom Thumb!! You can and should do better than that!!!
