  After a horrific evening meal the night before -- I ended up not eating due to the behavior of both the main server and the man who delivered our food making it so unbearably uncomfortable for a simple ADA request; the manager last night understood we didn't want comped meals, we just wanted good service -- the next day has been insanely better. We're here for a concert this weekend and specifically picked the Hilton near the Saltgrass to ensure we had an easy way to get good meals while we were here with the great service we've come to expect from Saltgrass locations. Today's lunch embodies that - the hostess was the same as last night (she's absolutely amazing!!) and handpicked the server for us. He took care of us no questions asked - didn't give me an attitude for having to ask for a lighter glass, didn't bat an eye about asking for assistance cutting the steak, the lunch manager was aware of the situation the evening before and made sure it was all good. When they made a mistake and brought out two salads, they even allowed me to just have 2 salads (one as a side) and removed the original side of brussel sprouts which I had just ordered since you can't get a second salad normally lol I do have to point out Jackson - who not only last night was incredibly rude, destroyed the steak, and had an attitude - but today he knocked over a chair right behind my mother (who is also disabled from a massive car wreck), made a rude remark about me having a refill in a "to-go glass?????" and also intentionally brushed past my chair that I had pulled out and made a remark I didn't hear well enough about having "barely any room to pass" despite having the ENTIRE floor open around the rest of our table and the other empty tables. He also neglected his table to the point that they had to borrow our server and then they complained about him. He truly is bringing down the quality of this restaurant and if his attitude persists I'm sure it will not only affect the patronage of this restaurant but also the choices of which hotels to stay in for the future for many guests. On the flip side I want to praise Jesse and his amazing service. He made this experience so much better and I'm glad we were able to be at his table. His birthday is tomorrow (HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!) so we most likely won't take the chance on any meals here tomorrow like we were planning, but maybe when we're back for another concert we'll call ahead and try to drop in to have him again. He is exemplary and that is the kind of service all of the servers should be providing!!!

  Angela was our server. Our family rarely goes out to eat steaks and we didn't know a whole lot about the cuts of meat and Angela spent at least 10 minutes describing all the cuts of meat. This was so helpful. We went for my husband 60th birthday and so we wanted it to be special. My husband and son got the Porter house and I got the salmon Oscar and it was absolutely delicious.. Angela is very knowledgeable about steakhouse, detail oriented, super friendly and out going, Thanks Angela for making my husbands 60th bday sooooo special! We will be back and we will ask to sit in your section ❤️ love

  EDITED TO ADD ONE LAST NOTE!! Yalls tip, which was very very generous, was included on the main bill! Despite me putting zero tip on my 2 beer tab, since the tip was all added to the main bill, yall fraudulently added and took out a tip from my tab. Yes I have a picture of the original receipt, and I am disputing this charge with my bank! What a joke your company is!! Never ever again!! Very disappointed with this visit. Was my first time going to a Saltgrass, and unfortunately it'll be my last. We had a group of 14. Made reservations for noon today. We did not get our food until about 1:45!! By that time we all had to get to go boxes and get back to work. The food was bland, especially the grilled shrimp I ordered as a side, and way too expensive for what they gave. 4 shrimp for 10.00??!! I hate leaving bad reviews, but this restaurant deserves it! They didn't even offer the slightest discount or even a single free anything for the lousy service and way way too long of a wait time to get our food. Didnt even get an apology or explanation for it!! We spent over 1000.00 today on a work lunch that wasnt worth even half of that! Sorry, but not sorry. Will not return and absolutely will not recommend!

  What started out as a wrong order was quickly corrected thanks to Gabby. I ordered my steak medium, it was not pink. The staff quickly course corrected and honestly bent over backwards to make sure the entire table was completely satisfied. And we certainly were! This location off Lamar is close to Six Flags & Texas Stadium, so yes they are super busy. But their management team are exceptional at supporting the wait staff. And we had a big party with some complicated orders, but rest assured. They handled it-without judgement. The food. Impeccable, the highest standards. I highly recommend the wedge salad and the filet melts in your mouth. Thank you Arturo & Gabby, I had a great time.

  It was my first time entering here, it was weird because I work near the restaurant but I had never dared to enter because something told me that it was not going to be good and well I confirmed it, the food is very tasty but the atmosphere and the people who attend well if you are not white the attention changes completely so if you are Latino be careful when eating there because they look at you as if you were a bugs I thought it was not going to happen to me that someone was racist but well it touched me in this place that will be my first and last time coming to a saltgrass what a shame that this happens as if being Latino was synonymous with low class good nice day!
