Our server was excellent. However I had to send my steak back twice before just canceling my order. My sil sent his back also and it came back out raw and I mean raw. Another guest of our party also canceled because hers was burnt. Maybe it was an off day. Appetizers were the saving grace.

I asked for a T bone. They brought me out a flat tire looking porter house steak and celebrated it. It was so flat and all i wanted was my t bone. Full of lean and gristle. The thick bacon appetizer was better than my steak. My buddy got the new York strip. He said it was delicious. It's a one off.. This place usually delivers. No more flat porterhouses! Just give me my t bone. Lol

This review in no way is a reflection on the waitress, who has waited on us many times. My wife, son and I went to Saltgrass for a late lunch. The Hostess was great, waitress was great. The disconnect started when they brought out our food. I had ordered Chicken Fried Steak with flash fried green beans on the lunch menu. My son ordered Chicken Fried Chicken and mac and cheese on the lunch menu. The first issue was they brought son fried okra on his plate. While the waitress was fixing that, he and I both cut into and took a bite our meat. I had been given his Chicken Fried Chicken. He was given my Chicken Fried Steak. The waitress took the plates back. After about 5 minutes, Ceaser, I believe he runs the kitchen, brought the plates back out. Both had an extreme amount of gravy. My Chicken Fried Steak was about half size. Removing the gravy off the end, we saw that both meats had been cut into, the breading was gone. I asked Ceaser, along with my son, if this was the same meat that was brought to each of us in error we had eaten off of. At first he acted like he did not understand. Then after repeating the question, he admitted it was the same meat. He had simply switched it to the correct plate and brought it back out. I believe under Tarrant County Health guidelines he can not bring out a dish that has been served and eaten off of. He contaminated any item in the kitchen he used doing this. He tried to reserve meat that had been eaten off of by another person. Then he tried to play the I don't understand English card. I made him take the plates off of the bill. The Manager, I believe Mr Cardgill, has failed to call or respond to a requested call on this issue. The wife and I eat at this Saltgrass once to twice a week. I am not sure we will go back. I recommend that you avoid this place. At least till Ceaser has been properly trained on sanitary food handling practices and serving a dish to a customer that another customer has ate off of.

Disappointed today in Saltgrass in waiting 44 min for our food. Other people who had come in after us were served before us. On top of that, my fries were barely warm as well as the cup of gravy...I guess that's what it was. Everyone else's seemed to be alright. Our waiter, Tyler, was gracious & very interactive w/ a great sense of humor. It didn't seem that busy in there, but things just never got done or it took forever like, like he never changed my husband's order from broccoli to fries, but that's probably a good thing because atleast the broccoli was hot! He never brought out the extra bread, late on the lemon slices & said that he had asked the manager to come over because of how long we had waited on getting our food, but the manager never came over & we weren't waiting around any longer than we already had. When you're going to put out over $100 for lunch...ya just kind of expect a bit better from Saltgrass & certainly not over a 40 min wait for your food & watching other people who came in behind you get their food before you.

When I ate at Saltgrass, I had high expectations because I had heard a lot about the food. I had had takeout from there before I’ve never eaten there in person. Anthony O was our server and he made us feel very special during our dining experience. He was very personable and attentive. When we asked about recommendations, he was spot on. He put me onto their chopped salad and it was a He put me onto their chopped salad and it was an experience. There was so much delicious food that I had to take part of it home, but I finished that salad there because I could not leave it behind. Overall excellent experience and I will definitely be returning and recommending Saltgrass and Anthony to everyone that I know.
