I am 100% going to stop going to your establishments. I went in to this location today to pick up my lunch during a lunch rush of course and I had to watch this kid single handedly do everything by himself for a solid 25 minutes straight. I have no problem with the kid himself. His name is Elijah and he did a great job multitasking making people’s orders, handing off online orders, working the register, and not getting overwhelmed. The problem I have is that NOBODY bothered helping this kid as he struggled to do everything on his own…it was outrageous. There were random employees eating lunch or just hanging out maybe not clocked in, I don’t know. The other clocked in employees who weren’t cooking just strolling around or all gathered in the back. It was insane to see, and hopefully Elijah gets his credit, but watching him do all that while everyone nonchalantly do other things was insane. I’m complaining now also because a few weeks ago I went to pick up an online order from your Arlington location on little rd, about 20 minutes before closing time. I went in and told the name for my order and the girl at the register told me they would get it ready in a bit and I was completely fine with that because they were dealing with customers and I can patiently wait. I watched as the order was being made and it made its way down to the girl at the register to bag up for me. She then proceeds to have a full blown text message conversation on her phone…not a quick responding to a text and setting her phone back down, but a legit conversation. I don’t think anything of it because I’m thinking “I must be waiting on something else I’m not seeing and once that’s ready she’ll bag it up for me…” Nope. She spends her entire time typing all of that out while I’m standing right in front of her face, then grabs some chips and bags up my order that had been completed the entire time…probably one of the rudest things I’ve seen someone do at work. I was pissed and was going to say something, but ultimately decided to let it go. Seeing what I did today at this location made me realize this is just some of the worst business practice I have ever seen. I don’t want anything for this. I’ll start finding somewhere else to go from now on, but you guys need to get your shit together as a company for real.

This used to be my usual chipotle for whenever I’m too tired to cook after I get off of work, and I thought it was pretty good. Now, ever since around a month or so ago, the new location that has opened up on Fielder Rd has set a gold standard for how chipotle should be. I can talk about the food just as well as I can talk about the service. There is a stark difference between the two location in both the food and service realms. Let me first start with the quality of the food, first. I like chicken, so I always get chicken. At the Fielder store, the chicken has a great char and crust. At Collins… it’s pretty much just tan all round. Not much crust development, when it’s supposed to be a grilled meat. I also always get fajita veggies, and Fielder’s peppers and onions have the vibrancy of my childhood memories; meanwhile, Collins’s veggies are drab, pale, and sad. I can go on about the quality differences. Onto the service. I get that chipotle is most certainly not a service restaurant— it’s a build your own bowl joint where the employees just do as they are told and throw whatever you ask for into your bowl. And that’s what I want to talk about. When asking for double protein, I expect DOUBLE protein, as in 2x, not 1.5x, protein. I pay an extra $3 for it… I’d expect my money’s worth. I went along with my friends as well, and they and attest to portions being extremely inconsistent. One of us ordered steak and received a heaping scoop. Another of us ordered chicken and received maybe 3/5 of the amount of meat, when compared the steak bowl. That’s a little ridiculous. And now, with the amount of lettuce put into my bowl. I believe I asked for a “bit” of lettuce. Perchance, half a handful’s worth. I got what seemed to be a separate salad put onto my bowl. See the attached image. It’s not THAT big a deal, but when the employee was having to compact the lettuce down, that’s when it turns into an issue. The food is decent. It’s chipotle. Can’t go super wrong. But the difference between this location, that has been operating for quite some time, as compared to the freshly opened one… it’s jarring. I expect consistency when I go to any location. Last thing I got is if you’re wanting chipotle, take an extra 10 minutes to make the drive to Fielder, if you can, and if it’s open.
