arrived at 3:19 PM, and another customer came in right behind me. We both stood at the counter waiting to be helped. There were four employees in the kitchen, all women, but no one greeted us or acknowledged our presence. After about five minutes, the man behind me politely asked, ‘Hello, is anyone helping customers?’ The staff glanced over, and one employee said she was busy making rice and that chicken would take a while. Frustrated, the man left. As soon as he walked away, I heard one of the employees say, ‘I don’t care’ and she laughed .That was extremely unprofessional. When one of the staff finally approached me, she claimed there were already two people ahead of me, which was never communicated. When I asked how long the wait would be, she first said the chicken was delayed, and then said they were out of chicken entirely. This inconsistency and lack of basic communication was very frustrating. As a manager, it’s reasonable to expect clear information and respectful service. Unfortunately, instead of assistance, I was met with indifference and rudeness. I had previously seen a male manager who was polite and attentive, but this experience was the complete opposite. I hope management addresses these issues, because customers deserve basic courtesy and clear communication. I want to add that this manager heard clearly when this black employee who was making rice laughed at the man who left , and she clearly heard when she said ‘I don’t care’. The manager chose to argue instead of talking like a person with manners . No customer service at all , if you have cameras please review it and if you have sound where you can hear the conversation it would be great . Chipotle you can do better !
