For anyone who doesn't know, Alvin HEB is a "pantry" store, small store fewer options, less variety. What you will find is alot of HEB brands, and "HillCountryFair" brands- which is also just an HEB brand. What you will NOT FIND... ANYTHING GLUTEN FREE. There aro NO GLUTEN FREE anything available. Which really kinda upsets me, because I have to eat gluten free and I'm fairly positive I am not the only person in this town with this food restriction. Personally I think they are giving away alot of good business. When I go grocery shopping, I'd like to do all my shopping in one place, I'd like that place to be HEB in Alvin- but I'm forced to go to competing stores like Krogers. I understand Alvin HEB is a pantry store, which is quick to get in and out of, but offers little to no variety outside of its own brand.

Why so much hate and discontentment with this HEB? I looked at Yelp and heard from locals "it's too small." What do you expect? HEB sizes stores according to demand. I didn't see any interior photos so I made a point to stop in and check it out. It's really nice for a small town like Alvin. Most of what you need is available. If you want a seafood counter and butcher counter near your house you need to move. The produce selection was very nice. And a gas station too? I live in San Antonio and most of the big HEBs near me don't have that.

I give 4.5 stars. The only reason it isn't 5 is because the store size. However, this store is ALWAYS clean, organized, stocked and shelf faced. Employees ALWAYS have a smile and greet the customers kindly. However, i think the most impressive feature, is the speed in which cashiers and baggers operate. It blows my mind every time i visit. Seriously, i haven't seen that kind of service ANYWHERE else. Oh, and the HEB house brand foods is like no other. Very rarely will i buy big name brand over HEB store brand. Keep up the awesome service! 🫡

This location is trash. My Mother lost her ring in the store today and when she went to get her ring back they gave my mother hell. Pure hell. And let me be very clear, my Mother was racially profiled her because she is Black. They treated her like a criminal. Those two employees were beyond disrespectful and degrading to my Mother. They basically called her a liar. I will be taking this all the way up to corporate and even higher. Already contacted the family lawyer.
