True Texas BBQ is slow smoked in-house for fourteen hours over natural hardwood, and it's darn delicious. So much so, it was named Best BBQ Chain in Texas as recognized by Texas Monthly. We offer barbecue by the plate or pound, plus delicious sides like brisket beans, mac & cheese, potato salad and coleslaw. Full service catering also available for groups of 10-1000+. True Texas Meats. True Texas Flavor. True Texas BBQ!
The food was really good overall — the ribs were tender with a great smoky flavor, and the mac & cheese and potato salad were delicious. The portions were generous and everything tasted fresh. My only complaint is that the meat was a little too salty for my taste. Really hope they can make it a bit less salty next time because the quality and flavor are otherwise excellent.

Everyone says their burnt ends are great. Never been. Went today. The burnt ends were just pieces of fatty brisket dripping in a greasy sauce, ans they were not burnt. I was also asked if I wanted onions, pickles and bread. I told the guy ringing me up, yes. Didn't receive any, nor did I receive and napkins. I guess I won't be back.
Edited: Also forgot to add, they do not answer their phones. Tried several times to call and pass on my opinion, and no one ever picked up.

Total clown show. My wife ordered at the kiosk, paid, and began the wait for the food. After 15 minutes the clerk informed her that they were out of mac and cheese and she would need to select another sandwich (we’d ordered two burnt-e-mac and cheese sandwiches). The problem is that the remaining sandwich options are all less expensive than what we ordered. This seemed to baffle the clerk as no suggestion of a refund was offered. After several minutes of confusion from the staff, my wife asked to cancel the entire order, which they proceeded to do item-by-item (how is there no option to refund the entire order?). We finally told them not to bother and left, having only gotten refunds for $57 of our $70 order.
If you have a kiosk ordering system, KEEP IT UPDATED with availability, and if you run out of a more expensive, already paid-for option, don’t expect the customer to eat the difference and select another less expensive item without compensation.
Good food can’t make up for lousy customer service.

Placed our order on the kiosk, but some of items featured weren’t available. We were asked to choose other options from the menu (sandwiches), but those sandwiches were of lesser monetary value than what we ordered and paid for. Asked to choose other side options as well based upon non-availability. I then asked to have order refunded as what was and was not available wasn’t clearly made known before paying and we would have been in a position of paying more for items with less value. It took ten-fifteen minutes for them to try and issue a refund and they stated they had to do it in two transactions for the full amount. One partial refund was made and staff seemed confused on how to refund remaining amount as “internet was giving them trouble.” I finally left without the remaining refund because it was taking so long. Will not be back.

I shop at HEB every week but have never gone into the restaurant to purchase anything. I'm glad I went in and I will be back to try other items on the menu. It makes it super convenient to pick up food while I'm there shopping. I ordered the one meat plate which comes with bread and two sides. I chose the Burnt Ends with Mac & Cheese and Brisket Beans. The portion size for the price is a great deal! I really liked everything.
