My girlfriend and I were looking for a breakfast spot in the area and we came across this hidden gem. We both never had colombian food and we wanted to try something new. Upon entering we were politely greeted and given a table asap. The server was kind and explained the popular dishes to us. We got the Arepa Ranchera and the Brunch Desgranado which was served very quickly and tasted delicious. While eating, we were greeted by who we believed to be the owner/manager. He was asking how everything was and gave great customer service with a smile. Once finished, our plates immediately cleared out for us which was great service as well. I highly recommend trying the Caramel Donut as a dessert after! Overall, this was one of the best dining experiences we've had in a long time. We will definitely be coming back!

Curuna is such a cute little cafe! I went with some friends for brunch and ended up ordering extra to go! The pancakes were so super fluffy and light! I had to order extra empanadas to take home for later! The chicken empanada are my favorite- there were no survivors! Great little place to stop by for breakfast brunch or lunch- it's definitely worth your time!
The food is great when they get it right, but the preparation and flavor are often inconsistent. The potatoes were crispy and well-seasoned the first time we ordered them, but they’ve been soft and unseasoned every time since. The tofu pericos is different every time I order it as well. The chicken and salmon are consistently overcooked. The omelets and other egg dishes, however, are consistently good, and I also really enjoy the matcha.
We still enjoy coming here, but the inconsistency is frustrating. I just wish we could count on getting the same quality from one visit to the next.

Delicious food, reasonably priced and good service. It's a very small, unassuming place that doesn't seat many and it's popular, so try to go off-hours. The cuisine is Columbian and easily recognizeable to anyone of Caribbean descent. Their tostones (fried savory plantains) are HUGE. If you're a meat eater and not sure what to get, try the Bandeja Paisa (basically a "mixed grill"). The Morcilla Au Gratin (blood sausage in cream with arepa cakes) was awesome as well.
