Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Door dashed from here and the fries were incredibly undercooked, there was mustard all over my food (I didn’t get mustard on anything) which makes me think they don’t wash their hands and switch their gloves, they sodas were out and the food felt as if it was just pulled from the fridge. I usually love Whataburger but they have lowered there standards to the floor obviously.

Cheeseburger was very dry and the buns were old. Not returning which is sad because he loves Whataburger.

Tried to go through the drive thru and told the lady taking orders that it would be a big order, she told me to give her minute and then told me that her manager said for me to come inside to place the order. I asked why and she said that because it was a big order the manger said to come inside. We left and called up to speak to the manager, Homero, who said they were short staffed and that’s why he said for us to come inside, which would have made no difference whether I was inside or in drive thru.

First off I'd like to say that as a person who currently works in fast food and has in the past as well. I am often a patient and understanding person. But my experience here was terrible.
I ordered my food in the parking lot, I just got off work at 9pm. So I ordered curbside. I ordered about 9:50ish, Took me a minute to figure out what I wanted. Said it would be ready about 10pm-10:03pm.
I understand they were busy, I could tell so I wasn't trying to rush them. I sat in the curbside parking spot number one for 30 minutes before I decided to go in. The man behind the counter is obviously tired because he's yawning alot and he is doing multiple jobs at once. I waited patiently, I understand that it's busy. When it was my turn, I told him about my order and that I've been waiting awhile. He goes to check. He comes back and I can tell my food has been sitting under the warmer because the receipt is burned all to hell. I used to work at Whataburger, So I know. My food is warm but my fries are soggy. At first I went out to my truck and was just going to deal with it but no, I just couldn't because it wasn't just for me but for my son as well. I don't usually raise hell or ask for a refund or a remake because I understand. But I was so angry, I wasn't the only one either. Multiple other curb side customers came in and had the same problem. I got my fresh fries, Thanked the guy and left.
But I will never be returning to that location. I haven't even set foot in that whataburger since the remodel because I've seen so many terrible reviews. Now I know why. I will just stick to the one on 893 E Hwy 80. That's where I usually go anyway. But this one was on the way home from work. Never. Again.
