- MMMaryana3 days ago2.0Our experience at Five Guys today was unfortunately disappointing. While we were waiting for our order, an employee named Jeff began spraying glass cleaner directly next to our food. It blew my mind when I saw it. The chemical mist and smell were close enough that it made me uncomfortable eating my meal. My partner decided not to make a fuss and ate his food anyway but I’m personally very sensitive to chemical odors and didn’t feel safe eating mine, especially with a long road trip ahead. What was most disappointing wasn’t the mistake itself it was Jeff’s mumbling that we were “just trying to get extra food” which was completely untrue. We weren’t looking for free food; we simply wanted food that hadn’t been exposed to cleaning chemicals. This situation could have been resolved with a sincere apology and a replacement meal. Instead, we were made to feel like we were trying to take advantage of the restaurant, which was frustrating and unnecessary. I hope management takes the opportunity to review proper food safety practices and customer service with their staff. Cleaning chemicals should never be sprayed right next to a customer’s meal, and concerns about potential food contamination should be treated respectfully. I genuinely hope Jeff learns from this experience so future customers don’t have to go through the same thing.

The workers do a good job working together but I noticed some of the workers there have facial hair that needs to be covered when working around people's food and hair nets need to be mandated as well. The guy who took my order as of today Thursday May 21st kept rubbing his nose while taking my order and dealing with food that's unsanitary and not professional. Now to the food the fries were soggy the burger fell apart once I took it out of the aluminum foil and The salted caramel milkshake had bits in it which it should not overall service I would give it a 2 out of 5 but when you're working with people's food you need to have a hairnet on or a face mask to cover your hair and you definitely should not be rubbing your nose and dealing with people's food.
