  They are awful! Always out of something, screw up an order, or rude staff. Have tried about 6 times to go here and it’s Always one of the above. Corporate should really look at this one.

  Terrible experience at this Sonic location. We arrived at Sonic at 10pm (they close at midnight, so it wasn't right before closing). We had been travelling all day/night across several states and were happy to finally grab a bite to eat before heading to the motel. The staff was SO RUDE! We ordered 2 sandwiches and a couple sides for $32. They said it would be a 6 minute wait on the chicken, but It took almost 15 mins to get our food. We realized we forgot to get a couple cups ice, so drove back through the drive thru....to get charged $1 and some change -- for ice?! The staff inside the restaurant, as well as the car-hop and woman taking our order were all 3 superrrr unfriendly. Once back at our motel and starting to eat, the chicken had the consistency of fish and an off tasting, tangy expired flavor...needless to say we couldn't consume it. The tater tots were undercooked but not the worst so we were able to eat those. Since it was nearly 11 pm by this time -- and due to the terrible customer service-- we chose not to return to complain. It really is a shame to have such a rude, negative experience in addition to the food just being absolutely terrible. $32 down the drain. We are from Iowa and I can tell you that this South Dakota Sonic location could learn a thing or two about friendliess from them!!

  Typical fast food meal. Enjoyed our food before continuing our trip home from Rapid City, SD. There isn't a Sonic in either town where my daughter or I live.
