  I stopped by this supermarket chain while traveling through the Northeast to stock up on road trip snacks, and I was so impressed by how clean and massive the store was. They had a huge selection of fresh produce, a fantastic deli section where I got a great custom sandwich made, and tons of regional items that were really fun to browse through. The self-checkout lanes moved super quickly, and the employees were smiling and helpful when I couldn't find where the bottled water was hidden. It is a perfect, reliable stop to completely refill your cooler and grab everything you need when you are out on a long drive.

  Stop and Shop in Westerly Rhode Island 🏝 is open Monday-Saturday 6am-11pm and Sunday 6am-10pm.

  Self checkout employee chased me out of the store, loudly accusing me of being a thief in front of members of my community. I didn’t steal anything… this was a humiliating experience and Stop and Shop hasn’t made it right or apologized. I was being chased and yelled at by a large man - I’m a petite woman and I was with my 3 year old daughter. This was one of the scariest experiences of my life. I thought he was trying to kidnap my daughter… do better.
