  Been here many times and everything is always great, food, service, and atmosphere but never needed to use the restroom until this last time, the woman’s bathroom was disgusting. It wasn’t untidy from not being messy, it was really gross with built up dirts in every corners of the stalls and around the toilets. Please clean the restrooms!

  I can’t say enough good things about Tavolo Wine Bar & Tuscan Grille in Smithfield. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm, inviting, and exactly what you hope for in a night out. The food was absolutely incredible - every dish was full of flavor and clearly made with care. Our server was attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience even better. But what truly set this place apart was something I’ve never experienced anywhere else. I ordered an amaretto on the rocks, something I get everywhere I go, and they were out. No big deal, right? Except the owner actually left the restaurant, went out, bought a bottle, and came back to serve me a generous glass. That level of hospitality is rare and unforgettable. Tavolo doesn’t just serve great food - they go above and beyond to make sure their guests feel taken care of. I’ll absolutely be back.

  We dined here on Tuesday evening, our first time at Tavolo. We came with a groupon gifted to us and were excited to try a new place. On arrival we mentioned to the staff at the front that we had a Groupon and were told to let our server know when it was time to pay. When we were seated, the server came to us so brass, no friendly greeting, so loud and very abrupt, she didn’t even tell us her name. And she whisked away the drink menu before we even got a chance to look at it. The food was good and the ambience of the restaurant was nice but the overall service with her with just very unpleasant which soured our experience. Come time to pay and we mention to her that we had a Groupon and she got really upset saying we should’ve have told her earlier, she doesn’t know if she can take it. And to our defense we tell her the lady at the front instructed us to let our server know when we are about to pay, to which the server said so loudly that everyone around us could here “next time, tell me at the beginning, those girls out there are not the brightest bulbs in the box” I was shocked! To be rude to customers and speak rudely about your coworkers…how unprofessional! There was so much more unpleasantness but whatever. There definitely won’t be a next time.

  My wife first went with her book club. She raved about the food. I enjoyed lunch there today. The lunch Prix Fixe is what I chose. Three courses; first course I chose the pasta fagioli soup. It is a white version not the red. It was excellent and hearty. For the entree I chose the chicken Parmesan. It was a tough choice. There are many delicious options. I haven’t had Chicken Parmesan in a while and am glad I chose it. The pasta was a perfect al dente. The sauce was fresh, light, and flavorful. The chicken was a generous portion, crispy, cooked perfectly, and covered in sauce and melted cheese. I could only eat about half of the entree. Glad I left room for dessert. I chose the tiramisu. I was sweet but balanced and the perfect size to finish my lunch with. We also shared an appetizer, it isn’t part of the prix fixe. Salumeria board is what we enjoyed. I included a photo. It was delicious and balanced. Christopher, our server, was amazing. We didn’t feel rushed or neglected. He was always there at just the right time. My only critique would be that there were crumbs between the linen table cloth and the paper table cover. It wasn’t a little bit either. It gives lazy and lack of care. This contradicted the entirety of my experience. It wasn’t from the previous gust today. We were the first table as we got there when they opened. The men’s room was well stocked, immaculate, and smelled clean. Overall would 100% recommend. We are planning to go back and try the dinner Prix Fixe.

  For the third time over the last several months we sat at the bar yesterday 4/21 for the buck a shuck special. Our evening began nicely with Cheryl taking care of us but then she left and Jess took over and thus began too the most insulting and mortifying experience at that restaurant. Jess accused us without cause of having an attitude and then basically ignored us until I had to call her over. Several times she dropped the F Bomb in conversations with customers. She told her customers not to sit near us . We were my wife and I and two friends who were there for the first time and sadly last! I will never return to that restaurant when she is working or still working there and I will share my experience with my family and friends. And we really enjoyed going for that bar special, but now that joy is ruined. I am over 70 years old and have never experienced behavior by the bartender Jess anywhere else in my life. Tavolo may have just lost two good paying customers.
