Urban Greens Co-op Market is a member-owned retail grocery store in Providence's West End, that is open to all shoppers. Urban Greens accepts SNAP and WIC. Our co-op fills a missing link in Rhode Island’s food economy by supporting local farmers and producers year-round; increasing the consistent availability of local, culturally-appropriate produce and products; creating local jobs; and reinvesting the profits locally. Our 8,000-square-foot store is 100% owned by its 3.600 (and growing!) members, who receive in-store discounts and participate in a democratic voting process that helps the store continue to represent its community. Find prepared foods including soups and salads, bread, eggs, ice cream, cheeses, meats, and vegan options.
