  They made our anniversary so perfect. I cannot thank you enough. Ed and Liz were amazing to us and Chef Eddie cooked everything perfectly. The staff worked so fluidly everything went smoothly the entire evening. Highly recommend this location and we will be back. Thank you

  We were looking to have our anniversary dinner in a convenient location to make it to The Vets for the RIP Symphony by 6:55 PM, and selected Flemings based on the location and steak reviews! We have come to a place of always tempering our expectations due to underwhelming experiences at restaurants we have never been to because on any given day, others can rave about it, and then the experience can end up being harried and rushed, or the waitstaff silent and moody! I get that staff can have bad days, but when one goes out to dinner, it makes everything taste better if there is some good cheer involved!! ~We determined to have a great time, and you know what?? The stars aligned and we got an amazing team of sociable, nicely paced waitstaff that made our anniversary dinner truly spectacular for us! We cannot say enough about the expert, congenial service we received from our Lead Waitstaff, Meredith S. and Herschel, her assistant server. Meredith was great about explaining each entree choice and was careful to note how we desired our meal to be cooked AND plated. Meredith has a smiling demeanor and chatted warmly with us throughout our experience! She was also a maven at getting everything exactly right and really attentive to timing, so as not to rush us ever, but to not have us waiting for the next course! The Food was absolutely delicious and perfect! This is what I call Gold Standard Service that treats the customer like a special, valued guest! ~And then goes above and beyond in adding flare to the anniversary experience by way of added celebratory decor, a lovely all staff congratulatory card and a box of Flemings Dark Chocolate Truffles! A sparkler on our crème brûlée and kindly photographing our enjoyment of our time dining there was the icing on the cake. Kudos also to Courtney the assistant manager for chatting with us and giving us info on walking over to The Vets, only .4 miles up the street, and an easy, delightful walk, as well as info on the RISD Art Museum! Both the Symphony and Art museum experiences were really wonderful! I cannot say enough about how well managed this restaurant is, with every single person who was serving and working in various capacities all smiling at us and congratulating us, and chefs that cook, plate, and serve up the food so beautifully. It was all very sweet and you know, made us feel cared for and like truly special guests! The staff there really gave us their very Best, and we were really touched by all of this!! As we looked around, other guests were having their own fabulous meals and enjoying their time and the excellent service given! Stop on over at Flemings, I am positive that this is how the Restaurant runs and serves every meal! Enjoy!!

  Fleming’s in Providence delivered the kind of evening that reminds you how much great dining is about the details—from beautifully composed plates to genuinely warm, attentive service. The Fleming’s Salad was almost too pretty to disturb, with candied walnuts, tomatoes, dried cranberries, red onion, and a bright lemon-balsamic vinaigrette. The combination of sweet, tart, crunchy, and fresh made this far more than a typical steakhouse salad. The Lobster Bisque was wonderfully balanced—North Atlantic lobster, sherry cream, and chives creating a rich, velvety soup with just enough seafood character. Creamy without becoming heavy, and deeply satisfying. But my personal favorite was the Colossal Shrimp Cocktail. Served exceptionally cold and beautifully presented, the shrimp had that firm, pristine texture you want from excellent shellfish. Paired with Fleming’s house-made horseradish cocktail sauce, it had the perfect bracing bite. The 8-ounce Petite Filet Mignon was another win: beautifully tender and cooked precisely to temperature, with the clean, beef-forward flavor that makes a good filet so enjoyable. Dining in the bar and lounge area made the evening even better. Peter, Sean, and Jackie brought an easy combination of professionalism, personality, and genuine hospitality. They were attentive without hovering, friendly without being intrusive, and clearly understood that memorable service is about making guests feel welcome. Excellent food, precise execution, and outstanding hospitality. Fleming’s Providence succeeds not simply as a steakhouse, but as a complete dining experience—one where the kitchen and the front of the house are working together beautifully.

  We had such an amazing experience at Fleming’s from start to finish! We were there celebrating my grandparents’ 66th wedding anniversary, and the staff truly went above and beyond to make the night special for them. They had a card and anniversary sign waiting on the table and even surprised my grandparents with a box of chocolate truffles. Those little touches meant so much to all of us and made the celebration even more memorable. The drinks were amazing and the food was absolutely phenomenal, but what really stood out was the service. Nick and Scott were our servers and they were incredible! They were attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect throughout the entire night. Manager Dan also came over to check on us and make sure we were enjoying everything. From the moment we arrived until we left, we felt so well taken care of. Thank you to Nick, Scott, Dan, and the entire Fleming’s team for helping make such an important milestone for my grandparents feel extra special. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and will definitely be back!

  Food was good I’ve been here before . But I wanted something low-key we were staying next-door at the Omni so I decided to do take out. I brought the food back out to my room only to open it, and there was no utensils or napkins. I spent $250 . I went back down to address the issue to the manager and I was told we’re supposed to ask for utensils. I just feel like this is a very expensive place. This is not some takeout joint. Not only that, but we weren’t really dressed up for a place like that. We were in Newport an Aruba sweatshirts too and comfortable clothes . When my husband walked in to pick up the food before the utensil issue, the manager looked my husband up & down a said SIR .Not hello or greeting.Just judged on our appearance of being in comfortable clothing.Its not like we had pjs on .Either way money is money . Shame on the people too in the bar area looking at me up a down for wearing slides a some yoga pants. I came in through the entrance of the hotel to get the utensils. I couldn’t believe the way that I was looked at it was my anniversary. I just wanted to relax. I work so hard.My money is just as good as those snobs in the bar area. Truthfully, this review would’ve never been made had the manager not judged my husbands appearance then making me feel it’s my fault I didn’t ask for utensils.Like I said this isn’t a place I spent a few dollars .It was almost $300 I expect to be serviced as I went in to sit for a meal.I don’t ask for a steak knife when I’m at the table but I get one anyways .Hopefully this changes things for take out.
