If you're looking for an amazing dining experience in Providence, RI, Cassarino's on Atwell’s Avenue is the place to be! From the moment we arrived, everything about this restaurant radiated charm and quality. The atmosphere is both warm and lively, making it the perfect spot for a special evening out. The food? Absolutely phenomenal. We ordered pasta, and it was nothing short of perfection. The highlight of the meal was the Rigatoni Bolognese, a dish so delicious it felt like we were transported straight to Italy with every bite. The flavors were rich, balanced, and simply out of this world. Cassarino’s also offers an excellent wine list, and the staff is incredibly knowledgeable. Our waiter provided fantastic recommendations for wine pairings, enhancing our meal in the best way possible. Another major perk of dining here is the valet parking service. Not only is it convenient, but the valets are incredibly friendly and professional, great guys who make the experience even smoother. Whether you're a local or just visiting Providence, Cassarino’s is a must-visit. With its fantastic food, welcoming atmosphere, and exceptional service, it's a dining experience you'll want to savor and revisit again and again. Highly recommended!

Hosted my some first communion party there and couldn't be any happier. The staff was more attentive than anyone could have possibly imagined and not only was the food prepared to perfection but the portions were out of this world. I would HIGHLY recommend this venue for any occasion. Incredible experience due to an incredible staff and even better product.

We came here for an early dinner because we were craving some pasta. The food was ok, average and nothing special. Marinara was ok, but again, nothing to write home about. But the reason fire my low review is how unaccomodating they were. We arrived at 3:30pm. There were 6 of us and we had reservations. They took us upstairs and proceeded to sit us in the back corner right by the restrooms in an otherwise empty restaurant. We asked to be moved to one of the 6 tops up front by the windows. They said they could not because they had other large parties coming. Well, sit them back here I said but the hostess said they couldn't. Well, after we ordered, ate, had coffee, and left the two 6 tops were still empty and unused. There are so many restaurants along this street, find another. We will next time.

I don’t usually write reviews but after the experience I had tonight I thought it was essential. First off, when we were seated it took 15 minutes for our waitress to come up to us. We ordered risotto balls which were fantastic but the veal and chicken parm were burnt. Once we got our food and about when we were almost finished, is when someone came around with Parmesan cheese. He laughed saying “it took so long.” Not sure how parmesan cheese takes that long but sure. We only saw the waitress once, when she was taking our order. I have been here multiple times with my family and the service has always been great. Tonight I came with my girlfriend for her birthday, it being her first time and one of my favorite places to go to we received subpar service. The waitress went to everyone’s table a few times except ours. We weren’t even given bread at the beginning. I had to flag down someone who wasn’t our waitress to give me the check. When we walked out there was about 5 people around the host stand just talking and a busser fixing her hair in the mirror. The valet was on his phone not even realizing we were outside. Tonight was between Casserinos and Marchetti’s. We will definitely be going there next time.

Fratello mio from another and I had tickets to a comedy show, but who goes on an empty stomach, besides it was Sunday. As Buonamina Nonna said, "It is no joke to be hungry, so laugh as you break bread". So when in Providence, you go to the choosen neighborhood...Like Jacquimo , we went up the hill. Parking was at a premium, but we found a lot and paid $20.00. I tipped the attendant $10.00 because he was doing a good job, it was chilly, and tipping hard workers is the right thing to do! *PSA just do it!!! We walked two doors down from where we parked and went into the front door of the restaurant (Humor through). White and gray walls give this place a crisp look. We were greeted by the hostess, who took us upstairs to eat. We were seated at a four person square top. I have pictures below. The staff was friendly and really hustling. No waters brought is really my biggest qualm. We ordered drinks, I had a Peroni. It was served in a magnificent Peroni glass and served at a perfect temperature. No bread if you are looking. We started with aracinis as appetizers. 4 good size aracinis served with a salsiera of Arrabbiata sauce. These aracimis were well fried and really make that grade A easy to give. We had plenty of time to talk and the restaurant was not overly loud. Even with us on the main route to the bathroom. There was a Bachelorette party there, a few loud and boisterous people, but mild. I paid no mind as I laughed it off at some of the tight rope walkers wobbling in their heels. Fun people watching. My frater had Gnocci in a Pink Vodka Sauce. He covered it in fresh grated cheese done by the wait staff. The gnocchi were pillowy. To much cheese, but that is blamed on my bro. I give it A-. I had the Pasta E Fagioli. The weather was damp this night and called for something warming. I did not want to much heaviness. This zuppa/soup is pure comfort food for me. The ditalini was cooked al dente. In addition to pasta and beans, the soup features the soffritto (onion, carrot, celery), garlic, diced tomatoes, broth, and herbs like rosemary or sage. Just a really rustic soup (povera). This soup is at least an A. I cannot give a higher score than my own buonanima Nonnina's soup, G-d help me if I did!! I also had the croquette di patate or crocchè. The croquette was crispy, a golden-brown ball featuring a creamy potato-cheese interior. Made with seasoned mashed and mozzarella then deep-fried until melted inside. It was squisito (exquisite). We paid our bill which came to less than 80.00. We tipped $30.00ish I think. We both agree the wait staff was top notch. We turned down coffee and dessert! At least it was offered and we never felt rushed. Our dining experience had us in and out in about an hour and half by our own choice to get to the performance. We walked out, the car attendant gave us a greeting. We got in the car and off we went. So good, really great food...Migliore!!
