I was really hoping to enjoy our experience here because the outdoor seating was really nice. Unfortunately, all the dishes were not great. Ordered Jonah crabs claws and it looks like someone ate them before being brought to the table. The dressed oysters were not separated from the shell and had shell pieces in all 4 of them. Halibut dish was okay but lacked flavor so I would not recommend it. Again, I wish the experience was better but sadly I felt it was a waste of $200.

A noisy and unpleasant place. We ordered five dishes, and it took about 40 minutes for them to arrive. Some of them were no longer hot by the time they reached the table.
The noise level was unbearable, both because of the crowd and the poor acoustics. As for the food, opinions at our table were mixed: some dishes were acceptable, while others were simply not good.
I definitely won’t be coming back, especially at these prices, which should come with a much better overall experience and higher-quality food.

Food was unimpressive. We heard some really good things about this place, but the food did not live up to the expectations. The food was either under seasoned or slight watery. I say this after a trip across the Northeast, where we had cheaper and better versions of what we got here.
Salmon was quite good flavor wise, but leaned towards overcooked and dry
The lobsters were bland, but had nice presentation
The pork chop dish was incredibly watery and unpleasant as the pork chop itself was dry and unseasoned
Service was quite slow but polite. We really liked the outdoor seating as it made is feel like we were eating on a pier

Such a beautiful and welcoming place with an amazing view of the harbor! 🛥️🌊 You can see the yachts and the ferry right from the restaurant. It’s spacious and has a really nice nautical/harbor style decor.
The front staff was nice, but our server was absolutely wonderful. I don’t remember her name, but she was so attentive and made such a difference in our experience. At first, I was a little uncomfortable because we waited quite a while for someone to notice that we were sitting there waiting for menus. Our table was also in a corner that could use better ventilation because it was very warm.
But our server’s attentiveness completely changed my perception. ❤️
The restaurant is always busy., we actually tried coming the first day and were told the wait was about an hour. The food was delicious, though! Everyone in our group enjoyed their meals, and considering how busy it was, the food came out surprisingly fast.
They also have parking available for $12/hour, which I thought was very reasonable compared to other parking options in the area.
Overall, great food, beautiful views, and wonderful service.
Definitely worth a visit!

Visited this seafood restaurant with my partner and some friends visiting from NY. We had a crab roll appetizer and sweet onion dip which was really good. They’re clam chowder was probably one of the best I’ve tasted in RI (and I live in this state). Main problem I had was that I ordered the scallops with risotto, but was given seafood pasta instead. I brought it up to our waitress and she double checked her orders. She said she put in the one I originally ordered and that the kitchen messed it up. She was very sorry and asked if I wanted the other dish, but I declined as I was very hungry and was waiting awhile already. The seafood pasta wasn’t that great. The pasta itself was filled with spices but also tasted bland. I had my partner and friend try it and they agreed the pasta was very bland. The waitress was nice to not charge me for my meal as it was the kitchens mistake. Overall my experience was good because the waitress and service were great, but I would not return. I understand the prices are sky high because it’s seafood in Newport, but I would expect more flavor in dishes with a pricey restaurant.
