Food and service were both great. However parking is something else. I paid about $25 for slightly more than one hour. I know parking is not related to the restaurant.
It didn’t say anything about parking rates at the entry gate. However there was a sign saying that 4.5% additional service would be charged at the exit gate. I was shocked to learn that they would charge me close to $25 total for less than 2 hours of parking. Loved it! Watch out!!!! Park somewhere else.

What an amazing evening tonight.
Started with the octopus carpaccio, which was finely sliced and seasoned incredibly.
Wife had the swordfish which was massive and served atop a delicious medley of beans and vegetables.
I had the cod, which was outstanding.
Stunning sunset views, and incredible service by Megan.
Highly highly recommend this restaurant.
Fresh seafood, very reasonably priced, huge array of food and nice friendly vibe.
Thanks for a wonderful evening.

Dining experience was very nice. Food was delicious—had lobster and shrimp fritters, warm lobster roll, some drinks and the service was great and attentive. Overall felt like fine dining but not stuffy at all. Cool coastal ambience with awesome views. Lovely place to have dinner to have a coastal New England experience.
Just be aware that parking is not free and at the time of this review, $11/hr ($88 for a full day). Was worth it for us because it was such a rainy day and only stayed for a couple hours, so didn’t mind it since it was better than getting soaking wet before dinner.

Our first orders (snapper special and lobster roll) were both dry, the snapper so dry it was sent back. A 2nd lobster roll replaced the snapper and, huge thanks to the incredible bartender Brittany, arrived quickly and delicious. The couple, both regulars, next to us also had a seafood pasta and pork chop, which both said were “dry.” The kitchen was obviously having a somewhat bad night. Again, were it not for the customer service of Brittany the experience would have fallen completely flat.Add to this, we’re sitting at bar seats (restaurant was packed) and another patron wanted our seats. The restaurant allowed this group to loiter over our shoulders expressing quiet frustration each time we ordered another glass of wine or additional food. This is an absolute no go in restaurant etiquette.

We celebrated our mini honeymoon dinner at The Mooring Seafood Kitchen & Bar in Newport, Rhode Island. The food was excellent, the restaurant was beautiful, and the staff inside were kind and did try to accommodate us, which we appreciated.
I had requested harborfront seating when making the reservation. While they could not fully accommodate that, they did move us to a better table after I mentioned my concern, and I appreciated their effort.
Unfortunately, the parking experience left a very negative final impression. When we arrived, the parking attendant told us to take a ticket, but before we fully understood the process, the gate arm came down onto the front of our car. Instead of helping or showing concern, he was dismissive and rude, saying it would not damage the car and acting as though it was no issue.
When we left after dinner, the ticket would not scan at all. We asked for help and even asked if we could pay cash, but he repeatedly insisted we use the machine and a credit card only. When the machine still would not work—even after he tried it himself—he then suddenly asked us for cash instead.
The entire interaction was confusing, frustrating, and handled very unprofessionally. I politely asked him to help us understand what to do, and instead he was impatient, rude, and unpleasant throughout the process.
It was disappointing because the restaurant itself was lovely and the food was very good, but the parking attendant’s attitude and the disorganized parking experience left a sour ending to what was supposed to be a very special mini honeymoon dinner.
