  To be fair I have to preface this by stating I only tried their seafood chowder from their truck at the Charlestown seafood festival. That said, after trying a free sample, despite not really liking white chowders OR seafood very much (was there with my hubby), I immediately knew I had to buy some before I left, which I did. It was delicious, absolutely no "fishy" aftertaste or anything, a great consistency... Will be sourcing more when I'm down in Newport!

  What a wonderful company! So easy to work with for our event and we all enjoyed the delicious food. The team was incredibly friendly and made it all effortless for us. We highly recommend!

  We have experienced Katie’s retail location on Thames Street. We then asked her to cater a family gathering for a wedding weekend. The lobster rolls were delivered on time and full of lobster meat which was extremely fresh and delicious! Our out of town guests and locals totally enjoyed the meal. The quality and service were amazing! We would highly recommend Newport Chowder Company.

  We ordered the clam chowder and lobster roll combo, and had to go back for the second round. It was simply delicious! Fwiw, the restaurant doesn’t have its own restroom. You may need to cross the road to use a public one. Also, it was hard to find parking nearby. I’d recommend to park somewhere else and walk to the restaurant

  This is a small location with a walk-up counter and some covered outdoor seating. The seafood chowder and lobster mac & cheese were good. It was worth going once, but if you’re just visiting the area, there are more special-feeling places you could go. If you just want a low-key spot with some good chowder or lobster, this is a strong choice. The folks working there were friendly.
