  This is about an online order that I picked up. In it or some chicken thighs. The expiration date was the date I picked it up. That's unacceptable. I opened the package in the chicken was not fresh. Now here's the real problem, try to get a refund online. They say they are going to call you back , but they don't. I had to spend my time calling them for a refund that I could have done on the Walmart app , for example, in about 5 Seconds. I don't believe I will be ordering anything from Stop & Shop online in the future. The only reason I gave two stars was that the people are very nice at the store. Good people, bad system.

  Clean, well-lit, and often have better sale prices than Shaws (and I really like Shaws).

  Evan was super helpful when I needed some assistance with the online app, super kind on the phone, overall exactly the type of worker that any company would want to hire. Stop & Shop, you got yourselves a Gem, as a lot of customer service nowadays is either AI or just not very helpful. Evan is neither AI or not helpful. He is very helpful.

  Alot of the produce is rotten. There have been times I would get something and get home to find it to be rotten from the inside out. There have been times I have gotten a bag of potatoes or sweet potatoes or carrots and get home and it is mush because it is rotten. There have been times I would open a package of meat that I had just bought and it would be rancid. Just don't go here, there is a Shawn across the street.

  I am deeply disappointed by the service at this establishment, specifically due to the behavior of Mark. This store is supposed to be centered around team players, but Mark’s actions showed the exact opposite. If you are having a hard day at home, you should not bring that negative attitude to work and take it out on paying customers. Mark was incredibly rude, dismissive, and highly unprofessional. I will not be returning and highly recommend others avoid this place until upper management addresses his behavior.
