You'll never go wrong goingbto Avvio, whether it's dinner or lunch. It has the feel of an extremely upscale restaurant without breaking the bank. And the food and the wait staff are too notch. You are litterally pampered here and made to feel like a valued customer No cons. Just pros.

Not sure why they are asking about roo.s instead of food. Went to Avvio for the first time. We ordered the antipasti to start. It was a large plate of cured meats, cheeses, marinated eggplant and artichoke, olives and more. My wife got the eggplant sandwich and I got the veal ragu. We both enjoyed our meal and our server was excellent all throughout the meal. We weren't able to finish everything so our server put the leftovers in the to go containers and labeled each one so we know what was inside. The place was busy but not slammed so we really didn't have to wait. I would definitely go back and we enjoyed our dining experience.

I had lunch at this restaurant today. I started with the Burrata. I was surprised to have grapes with this dish as I’m used to having tomatoes. When the menu said “grapes” I thought it meant grape tomatoes. I was wrong; however, it paired well together. I then ordered the Lobster Gnocchi, which was delicious. For dessert, I ordered the Nutella Cheesecake & an espresso martini. Both were good. My server was very nice & didn’t make me feel rushed despite me being alone & it being Mother’s Day. Check out was very easy as they allow a QR code to be scanned to pay the check. Would definitely recommend for a nice lunch or dinner 💕

Our go to whenever in the Cranston area. We had to run errands at Garden City Center at the last minute and was not able to get a reservation for a table for dinner. No worries was able to get a seat at the bar with about a 15 minute wait. This was on a busy Saturday night and we got lucky. Bartenders were busy but attentive. The drinks are always good. Did something different and tried the Ca dei Frati 'I Frati' Lugana white wine and was pleasantly surprised! The arancini and the Ceasar salad were prepared just right and very tasteful. Our go to meals are the chicken con pollo and the rigatoni bolognese. Finish up with tiramisu and you have yourself a great meal! Even better are the points you accrue to use for future meals within the Newport restaurant group.

I had one of the most frustrating dining experiences here and won’t be returning. I went out with a group of friends to celebrate a birthday, friends in town who now live out of state and have not seen each other in months, and what should have been a fun night quickly turned sour. My friend, who is clearly 29 years old, was refused service because her ID had expired—by 11 days. It had literally just been her birthday. Instead of handling the situation with any level of understanding or professionalism, the manager was incredibly rude and dismissive (the one with the bob). There was no attempt to be accommodating or even polite about it—just an abrupt refusal and an attitude that made us feel like we were doing something wrong. I understand that policies exist, but there’s a way to enforce them without being disrespectful, especially in a situation that is so obviously harmless. The lack of basic customer service, JUDGEMNT and empathy was shocking. We ended up leaving and taking our business elsewhere. If you’re looking for a place that treats customers with courtesy and common sense, I’d strongly suggest going somewhere else.
