  I really have a hard time with most other's positive perceptions of this particular location. I'm a York native through and through, even working at the West York location many moons ago when there was a location across from the fairgrounds. To be fair, there are some positive qualities such as selection of canned, boxed, and frozen foods. The Chinese Food station is also a shining star. However, when it comes to handling and quality of anything fresh (ie. produce and meats), I really cannot understand how few folks bring attention to the TERRIBLE quality. We shop here consistently out of convenience, although this is becoming very minimal and would rather be inconvenienced, when it comes to produce and meats. We consistently need to dig through at least half or more to find something barely acceptable. Bagged produce has typically been partially frozen (clear sliminess can be seen at the back or bottom of the bags), onions typically have about a third of the bag sprouting or molding/mildewed, meats (unless cheaper high turnover) are close or expired that day, fresh herbs are white and fuzzy, things go bad within two days of purchase typically, etc. My family does not expect perfection, we understand it takes a lot of work to stay on top of climate controlled food items, but this location really doesn't have a handle on these areas, particularly the produce. Compare and contrast to the one in Manchester and it's night and day. Compared to Wegmans in Lancaster, not even on the chart with what we consider best in class. I really do hope someone empowered reads this review and takes action to turn these areas around. It used to be the manager/supervisor held a position of honor and respect when they were promoted into these areas. Unfortunately, it now seems it's an area of last resort and taken simply to get the premium, collect the paycheck, and nothing more.
