  Never has hot sandwiches when its dinner time (5-8pm). The self checkout doesnt have palm scanners and deer park water isnt in the item lookup so if youre old or have a bad back you have to lift the heavy pack of water up and over to the table scanner just to scan it. Mind you the Giant in pottstown pa has deer park water in the item look up. This is hands down the worse giant ive ever been to.

  Every single time I encounter a certain employee near self checkout, my day is ruined. Short older woman, grey hair, the absolute worst condescending attitude I’ve ever experienced. I’ve never left a review for anything in my life but this employee is so beyond rude I don’t even want to give this location my business ever again. Usually I ignore her nastiness but today in particular I went into one of the EMPTY self checkout lines with the belts (I avoided the other self checkout because this lady berates me for bagging things wrong whenever she’s working), she then comes to my lane from the lane in front and starts restocking the bags (there were plenty of bags already there), and says in her usual aggressive tone “Don’t do anything until I’m done.” Excuse me??? I’m happy to wait for you to restock the bags, but there’s a way to speak to customers, or better yet, just another human being. Secondly, I was there first. You can wait until I’m done checking out to replace the bags. This lady needs to be retrained on how to speak and interact with customers or just not be customer facing at all. I spend way too much money here every week to be talked down to. Won’t be seeing another dime from me.

  Self checkout is trash because there is never enough bags there. Why should I have to get the associate to bring me more and clear the machine when I need more?

  Bags. The self checkout needs to be loaded on bags. The quality of the bags are cheap so double-bagging is necessary but the self checkout stations are always very low as if to try and to manipulate customers into not double-bagging because if you try and get bags from an unused stations and load the one you use, the sensors will go off about removing an item from the bagging area when all you are doing is the clerks job and putting more bags yourself because they are busy or not paying attention so then I have to pause my shopping for the clerk to come void the error when all of this is could have been prevented by just properly loading the damn bagging area! Stop being stingy and load the damn bag areas. Unacceptable that Giant is against customers double-bagging..I also will not do regular check out because the associates are always awful at bagging. They don't double bag and will just put whatever together like meat with produce. Or my favorite, they won't bag unless you ask them too. Train your associates to do their job and bag properly and load the self checkouts..Also the beer garden wasn't open on time. Do better.

  WHY Is this the ONLY Giant that cheaps out on putting enough bags at self checkout?? The bags are cheap and rip easily so of course we need to double bag! If you don't like ppl double bagging, then get better bags. It is extremely distasteful for a huge corporation to be so cheap out grocery bags that they are willing to inconvenience customers. The deli is also a pain, you can place a kiosk order and several times after shopping for 30 to 40 mins, it's still not ready. Hire more ppl and fix the bag situation. The associate shouldn't have to leave their station to go to wherever away from self checkout to get more damn bags.
