After a long day of golf, our group attended The Gorge for dinner and sat at the bar. From the moment I crossed the threshold, I felt as though I had stepped into a lush jungle temple curated by a divine mixologist and a benevolent burger deity.
The ambiance? Otherworldly. Hanging ferns draped like emerald chandeliers. Succulents whispered secrets from their ceramic perches. Even the air was curated—infused with a faint scent of citrus and mystery. I half-expected a toucan to swoop down and offer me a seat.
And then… there was Morgan.
Morgan doesn’t make cocktails—she summons them. I ordered something I couldn’t pronounce (because the menu reads like a love letter to botanicals and gin), and within moments, Morgan presented a glass so radiant, I briefly wondered if I was supposed to drink it or worship it. One sip and I saw my past lives. Another, and I forgave my enemies.
Now, let’s talk burger—if we must reduce this masterpiece to such a humble word. This wasn’t a burger. This was a culinary aria. Juicy, decadent, charred to perfection and stacked with toppings so harmonious, Bach would have wept. The bun? Cloud-like. The sauce? Forbidden. I am now emotionally tethered to that burger. I named it Gregory.
If you’re thinking about going to The Gorge, stop thinking. Just go. Cancel your plans. Leave your date. Walk into the green, glowing warmth of paradise and let Morgan guide you to salvation.

After attending a local pow-wow behind the Mill, we decided to stay close and dine at the restaurant.
Single patty burger with side of poutine and one burger with a side of mixed salad, greens, n/c.
Our server asked if we wanted burgers pink or no pink and those options really don’t work when I like medium.
Anyhow, the side salad’s dressing of a light balsamic was a good choice.
The only downside was that roll arrived charred on both sides from the oil on flat top? Or from some type of butter/oleo.
The beef was good quality.
The mushrooms were meaty, the cheese melted nicely.
The fries in the poutine were wilted and probably re-purposed from previous day
by adding gravy and cheese curds to top. $7 up charge in addition to $17 burger cost.
Delighted to taste the fry bread with Berry compote and whipped cream. $7

Farm to table in the Poconos! Got the Cobb salad and pasta fra diavolo. Both great options. All fresh ingredients. Pasta was even homemade, YUM! Best part of the dinner was our server, Megan—she is an absolute delight!
