The food is great. I and my husband especially love their wings. They have the big full wings and their seasonings are right on. We, particularly, love the Garlic Parm wings.
One of our friends always gets a burger. Which looks really good and he says it's very tasty. Their sides are great! I love the collard greens. They have an excellent flavor and, for me, they fit into a Keto diet! This is a huge plus for me!
I would have given 5 stars for food, however, on our last visit I ordered iced tea and it had a very funky flavor. I had two other people taste it to make sure that it wasn't just me. It almost tasted like when a tea is 'turning' because it's getting old. Not sure what the issue was, but I've never had a worse tasting glass of tea. In, Off the Rails defense, I didn't speak up and complain... if, I had, I would think they would have swapped it out for me. For the members of our group that ordered soda or an alcoholic drink their drinks were fine.
They do, also, offer cold canned beverages, so that's an option.
As far as atmosphere goes, it's an open air venue, with close tables and a busy loud buzz. The loud buzz issue is due to having many people packed into the space due of the restaurant's popularity. I'm sure this isn't an issue for the majority of people, but I mention it for those who are noise sensitive.
Overall, we have been very happy with our food. The service has been fast! When you order your food and drinks, you receive a buzzer. When your buzzer goes off, you go back to the front counter to get your tray. The atmosphere is what you expect in a smaller space with many individual groups holding conversations.
Overall, we found our time at Off the Rails Barbeque and Drafthouse to be a fun and laid back time!
We definitely will be returning and will have to, at some point, try the brisket.
