Great deal on some gourmet Indian food. With a much bigger variety than most lunch buffets, extensive opening hours, and the best music I've heard in any restaurant in a long time, this place is a
no-brainer for a satisfying lunch or dinner.
I’ve been a few times, and everytime I have the food has been excellent! The restaurant is very clean, and welcoming. This time we tried the buffet which is really reasonably priced for the amount of options offered, and it came with naan, all of the food was amazing and we tried most of what was offered, and they even made some fresh for us when they saw us come in! Excellent service, super friendly! It’s my favorite Indian restaurant in the Poconos!
If you are looking for delicious Indian food, this is the place. The food and the buffet taste great, the portions are a good value for the price, and the restaurant is very clean. The staff is also very polite and welcoming..
I will definitely be back again..
Very good food and I think the prices are reasonable, especially considering the serving size. My husband and I were able to share one entree dish with rice, samosas, and some naan and were very full. I want to specifically point out that the service is friendly and helpful and we felt very welcomed! I have seen some other reviews where people complained about being given paper plates and plastic utensils. Aside from plastic utensils being a bit wasteful, I think it's fine because it's a casual dining atmosphere. The food doesn't taste any different on a paper plate vs a real one. Possibly they don't have the staff to keep up with extra dishes and they are prioritizing the food and the service. I also appreciated the menu having a clearly labeled vegetarian section since I don't eat meat or dairy. That makes figuring out what to eat so much less stressful. We didn't use the app but I liked that it was an option because it would be easy to get takeout on the way home from work. We really liked this place and will definitely be back!
NYC Indian Grill exceeded our expectations! We decided to try their lunch buffet to sample a bit of everything—they had a great variety of both veggie and meat options, as well as chai and dessert. You can tell they are truly proud of the food they make here, and every dish had its own distinct, authentic Indian flavor. As a Hispanic who prefers flavor over super intense heat, the spice levels were absolutely perfect.
A huge bonus for families: kids under 7 eat free! Our daughter was free (even though she mostly stuck to the rice and bread, lol). I even ate traditional-style with my hands—they provide utensils as well, but eating with hands felt authentic and right.
The cashier was super friendly and welcoming from the moment we walked in. Plus, extra points for the bathroom having a bum gun/bidet sprayer to freshen up after! 😂 I left completely full, but felt great and 'clean' afterward. We will definitely be back, whether for the buffet again or takeout!
