- CGC Genova4 days ago1.0So let me start by saying I have shopped at this location for a couple of years now. Although I have had some hiccups along the way overall they always have a great selection of items and I have only encountered friendly and polite staff. Staff is always available if I have a question or need help. Between Giant Direct and in store, I shop here at least once a week. Only store I get my groceries from. So now you are wondering why must I give a 1 star review. Well..... Yesterday while I was doing some in store shopping I wanted my usual heirloom tomato but I wanted to see how much it weighed being as though they're so expensive $5.99 a lb. I weighed it on the produce scale and it was a little under a pound which came out to $5.23. I continued shopping not printing out the slip because I just usually let the cashier handle that part. I checked out and proceeded to my car as usual. After placing my groceries in the car I sat for a little and while doing so I glanced at my receipt and I noticed the heirloom tomato was rung in under the right description but the price is now $8.88. Huh? I decided to go back in and the gentleman that helped me I know is the store manager. No matter what time I am here, whether opening or closing hours he is here. I explained why I am returning my product and his response was "oh that's a big difference, would you like it back to your card?" As a store manager his response should have been let me figure out why or let me go back there so I can check. It wasn't his response which was very concerning and led me to believe he knew his registers are set up that way. All this time I trusted that my local grocery store was honest and all these years I have shopped this store just to be scammed. So disappointed.
