  I had a very disappointing experience at this Giant location. I was purchasing alcohol for myself, but the cashier refused the sale because they had seen me arrive with a friend earlier. My friend was not purchasing anything, did not enter the checkout with me, and does not drink alcohol. Despite explaining this, I was told that both of us needed to show ID. I completely understand and respect the importance of preventing underage alcohol sales. However, in this situation, it felt like assumptions were made without any evidence that my friend was involved in the purchase. The policy was applied in a way that was unreasonable and left me feeling unfairly treated. I hope Giant can better train employees to distinguish between genuine attempts to prevent illegal sales and situations where a customer is simply purchasing alcohol for personal use. I value responsible alcohol sales, but I also expect customers to be treated fairly and respectfully. Unfortunately, this experience has made me reconsider shopping at this location.

  Giant is a regional grocer in PA, which is similar to Kroger (maybe a bit bigger). I really like their croissant donuts (cronuts).
